So...going in April. Probably April 14th. Which is a Thursday. Mostly want to see WWoHP.But would like to do the other rides as well. Kids are 13 and 10 and love thrill rides. Will also be doing 3 days at Disney. One day including Hollywood Studios probably.

So my questions...If doing HS at Disney should I do US? Would it be worth it to get the 1 day/2 park hopper? Or just get the 1 park?

We won't have early access. Should I buy the HOTL passes? Can I buy them once I am at the park (to guage the crowd)? Also, are those just good for the rides? Or can you use it for Ollivanders? Kind of clueless about it:confused3

THanks!

There is so much to do at Islands of Adventure that personally I think a park hopper would be a waste of money if you are only staying one day. There are thrill rides at both Islands and Universal, but lots to do at both. Your best option is two days, one at each park (you'll love them both). Maybe skip Hollywood Studios and do both Uni parks? You would not regret it. :goodvibes

Consider skipping DHS and getting the 2 day/2 park pass if you can. If not, 1 day/1 park for IOA will suffice.

Express passes can be purchased at any of the major gift shops. The price varies, and IOA is scheduled 9-7 that day. Express passes work at rides only, and are NOT valid at Forbidden Journey or Camp Jurassic. They can only be used once per ride and are date and park specific.

Plan on getting to the gates by 830 and heading straight for WWOHP. Ride Forbidden Journey first, then explore the Wizarding World. Be sure to ride both dragons in Dragon Challenge!

I was a little confused by your post, I wasn't sure if you meant you were doing half a day at HS and then on to Universal. I would highly advise you to just make that an entire Universal day. IMO HS doesn't compare to either of the Universal parks, and I think you would enjoy more time there. Especially if you've never done Universal and have already done HS in the past. HS is my least favorite disney park so that's just me, but IOA is incredible and you will want as much time as possible IMO to really try and experience as much as possible.

sorry about the confusion. We are spending 3 days at Disney (getting the military 4 day hopper), then 1 day for Universal. I was thinking 1/2 day ea. at DHS and AK. One full day at Universal, probably IOA. I'd like to do 2 days at Universal, but that is a kicking deal for the Disney tix and I can't extend my stay. We are closer to California and would probably go to Universal during our next trip south.
