Hello - A few months ago I caught the tail end of a TV show (on one of the Discovery channels I believe) where they were talking about a website that would give you recommendations on what would be the best sequence to go on rides of interest in a particular park.

The show indiciated that this website would allow you to select a park and pick the rides in that park you want to go on. Calculations would then be made on how to best approach these rides based on how quickly lines move and other sorts of factors.

At the time I thought this was interesting but took no real notice and didn't write down the web address. However, now that we have booked our WDW vacation I thought this site might come in handy. Does anyone have any information about this service? Thanks so much.

Touringplans.com used to have something like this where, for a fee, you could input what rides you wanted, and, iirc, when you planned on getting to the park, and it would make you a custom touring plan. That, however, has been discontinued.

I think www.TourGuideMike.com does this. I haven't tried it yet....I might do it for our April trip. I was thinking of trying him for our September trip and may end up pulling the tringger, but I already have my itinerary planned, and can't change my parks around. I also think that with the free dining plan in September, the crowds will be different than a regular September, and the ride lines will be unpredicable since everyone is deviating from their normal routines to go to more TS meals than usual.

I just went to ridemax.com and it seems like a great tool for maximizing your time. Note though that it is only available for the MK, not all four parks. I'm glad I noticed this before I subscribed as we will be doing the MK on the slowest day of our trip and another day as well and don't think we'll need it. Too bad it doesn't include all four parks, we could really use some advice for AK on Friday or Saturday of THanksgiving weekend.

Just a heads up --

I am a member of his site and do recommend it. He gives sample touring plans for families w/young kids, active teens & adults for all the parks... The AVP does not work the way you stated .. (put in the rides you want, and spits out a touring plan... go here, then go there.. etc..)

What it will do is provide you with the sample plan, and then explain the reasoning behind the choices. If you're willing to do some planning and spend some time to understand the logic, I think you will be happy with the site. (And if you are a compulsive planner like me, I think you will be thrilled with it like I am!!!) :rotfl:

If you have and ??? I will try my best to answer..

Have fun planning !!

Thanks....I ended up signing up last night. I agree he offers TONS of VERY USEFUL information. It is 34 days until our trip....I think I will be reading for the next 33 days!!! :teeth:

I really like his reasoning.....I've been to Disney 18 times and always went with no plan of which rides to go on.... after reading his sample touring plans, and explanations of why he recommends what he does, it all really does make sense.

I already have my days set for which parks we are going to hit, so I can't go by his recommendation on that, but I think by just knowing which rides we will hit in what order will save us tons of times.
