I just booked dining ressies online for the first time. The "rules" for the Chef Mickey ressie read that you have to cancel w/in 24 hours of your ressie time or you credit card will be charged. Now, they didn't ask for my credit card info, but obviously I was logged into my account so they have it. I have cancelled ressies in the past with less than 24 hours to go before sit down and never had an issue. Is this something that's changed? I made the Chef Mickey as a tentative ressie because we are doing the QS dining plan, but I figure at some point we might want an actual meal and since this is our AK day and that closes at 5:00, thought we might head over for dinner with the gang. If I cancel on the same day will I be charged? Any scoop is much appreciated!

I dont think Chef Mickeys is a credit hold restaurant. Cindys, Akershus, Dinner Shows (pre pay) and all Signatures are...never heard of Chef Mickeys being one.

In was told that they will charge $20 for a no show (not per person, but entire party) I have read on these threads that some do get charged, some dont. If its their policy, its up to them to enforce it or not. Risky..50/50.

As of right now, the only signature that is CC-Held is Cali Grill. The others are not. The rest of the list is right though :).

The messaging about being charged a penalty is standard text on all restaurants. If they didn't take your CC number, they can't charge your card (yes, even if logged into your account).

Thanks. I figured and I will call and release my reservation if we decide during the day we don't want to head over there!
