It appears that there no longer is an option to search for available reservations over a range of days like they had in the first version of the online booking. Is that correct or have I just missed how that is done now. Reality is that I never had much luck with it and maybe it never worked but it seemed like a good idea and I'd like to try it if it's still possible.

I thought it was useful.

Playing around with the system I noticed that they have a button to show only DDP restaurants which I hadn't seen before. (It's been awhile since I needed to use the system. Also noticed a lot of availability for two person ADRs in January and early February for a later dinner at Le Cellier.

In the update to the V2 site they did remove the "Date Range" option. Whether intentional or not, I don't know, but likely it was. Due to the changes in search parameters, you could effectively search for all restaurants, all days, for a specific meal. The returned results would just be too much (and likely the query to pull the data would have been too large and greatly affected performance).

Now, I'm sure with some UI tweaking and some query tuning, it's possible to work in the new site. Whether or not they actually do that is anyone's guess.

Thanks for the responses. It's disappointing that it was removed though.

It makes sense about it returning too many options if you have a range of dates. It would be nice if they made it available though if you were searching on only one restaurant.

On the up side, at least the new system searches a larger period of time. I think the old system only did an hour or so at a time? Now it does something like 4 hours???

the only one I have seen the date range option on is CRT

That's interesting. When you view CRT and want to make a reservation then it takes you to the old booking system which allows the range of dates.

Very true. That is a nice improvement!
