Online Reservation Request

If you put in a request for a reservation online on the dvcmember website, Are they pretty prompt in responding to your request or is it just better to call member services with your request? I put in a request online but I know with the NY holiday there is going to be some lag time, but I don't wanna wait forever to know if we got the days we wanted to get.

I used it last month for a reservation next Nov and got the confirmation e-mail the same day. If you entered it today, you will not get a response until tomorrow. MS is closed today.

I used it at 7 months to book a 1BR boardwalk view at BWV during 4th of July week. Confirmation returned within 24 hours. If I can do something online vs. talking on the phone, so much the better

The on-line form is sent to MS as a email and processed manually by an advisor. As long a your request is straight forward you shouldn't have any trouble. If your request involves banked or borrowed points, you might be better off calling.

If I can do something online, I agree that is normally the way to go. However, I want instant response. If I can get that online, great. If not, I want to talk to the person. Otherwise, I don't know if and when my email is received or dealt with, and how many people called in and made reservations before my email was handled.

Well, obviously sending an email form is not going to be instant. The OP asked about the speed of turnaround, which is about 24 hours.

I wasn't that worried about whether I would get the BW view or not, even at 7 months, so it was fine for me as I would have been okay with another view.

Also, the CM who handled my request did as I asked and used transferred points first then a portion of my home resort points. All very smooth.

I booked AKV online earlier this month. I made a ressie for a 1 BR in Aug and used current year's points and some borrowed. Received conformation within 24 hours - no problems.
