Has anyone ever made an online reservation with CRO??
Do the online confirmation #s start with an R?

We're arriving next Wednesday morning with another couple and I asked for their confirmation # so I could fax room requests and the confirmation # she gave was R#######.

Just want to double check and see if anyone has ever seen a confirmation # like that. She did make the reservation online.

R infront of your numbers stands for room only rate. I think. Mine reservations are for a package and has no letters just numbers. I don't know if this helps you or not.

When you make a room only reservation online the the R is the first character in the confirmation number. Hope this help.

Thanks so much!!

I have always used CRO on the phone and had never seen a confirmation # with an R, so it confused me!

I can send the fax now!!

Hi,

First I had booked a room only reservation with www.disneyworld.com
Then there was the moment that new codes came out.
On the website I couldn't find the possibility to modify my reservation made online to add the new code and change to another resort.

After knowing that there was no possibility to modify my room only reservation online I choose to book a new room only reservation with Dreams Unlimited.
After my reservation with Dreams Unlimited was made I looked on the website for a link to cancel my reservation.
You can't believe it, but it isn't possible.
I'v made several reservations online for Hotels in the US including Anaheim and Las Vegas. All times I was able to cancel my reservation online.

I think Disney does a poor job with their online service. And why? It should be so easy for them. If people can do their reservations via the website, including add codes if they come out later and the possibility to cancel it if needed, they will notice a decrease in the number of phone calls. Also its cheaper for the customer, because internet access is most times a lot cheaper then phone calls.

Just my thoughts.

Marcel.

For Disney online reservations, you should also check the the terms and conditions link. When I clicked on it I was surprised to read that if you wanted a full refund of your deposit you had to cancel 46 days prior to your arrival! I'm pretty sure that when you call CRO, you have 5 days for a full refund.

Hi,

Maybe it has changed now, but at the moment I booked my room reservation online at the end of january 2003 I was able to cancel without loosing any money up to five days before arival.
Of course I choose the room only option. The only thing that I doesn't understand is that you have to call Disney to cancel it instead of an online link where you can cancel.

Disney's onlline system is a wreck!!! I made room only reservations online for last November - last minute trip and we were on the wait list for DVC. Our DVC reservation came through and I called to cancel my room only reservation. I was told I owuld be charged for 1 night lodging because I was within 45 days. I was in shock, and knew that I had read that I had until 5 days. So, found my confirmation and it DID say I could cancel without penalty until the 5 days.....called back. SHe had to talk to a supervisor, said my ressie was with WDTC, not CRO, then acted like she was doing me a favor because her supervisor OK'd the refund.

And, I had it in black and white that I could cancel!! It was a pain, to say the least.

Back in my early days of booking, I used the online site once. I wound up getting a better deal through CRO directly and saved hundreds of $.
