online reservation problems

Darn website will not accept my reservation number and let me make our reservations! Very frustrating this morning, I hope other are having better luck. Guess I will call but it peeves me I can't get tp it until 8:30!

We had the same issue at first - it let us make a reservation for check in day, but no further. Then we noticed a line that said "confirm your reservation" or something like that - we clicked it and a box popped up for us to enter our resort confirmation #. That then "attached" our dioning to our room and we were able to make the rest of our reservations. Wish I could remember specifics, but DH was 'driving' the computer.
 
I had no issues whatsoever. Here is what I did....on the main dining reservations page there is prompt to tie your dining plan to the room reservation (it's written in blue under the "Enter a Restaurant Name" box.) I then typed in my room confirmation number and date of arrival and off I went. I had them all done in less than 15 minutes.

Yep, did that but it would tell me to go ahead and make the reservation because they couldnt link them but then it would say they couldnt make the reservation, lol! I went around and around til I was "very very dizzy" to quote mice :laughing:

All good though, I just called and was able to get everything we wanted! Good luck to everyone else :wizard:
 
Do you have DVC? Its a known issue for DVC

Mine is a DVC reservation too. I had to go old school and call, but got everything we wanted. I just tried to do it again to see if we could change on and still can't get in online.
 
Mine wasn't DCV either, had this issue a few days back, as well as some others (there's another thread popping around that has it dated back from October 2011)... I emailed Disney about it during the hour I waited from the online to come up to the phone lines to open, and got a response today:

Hello XXXX,

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World Resort. Your message was
forwarded to the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Online team.

We are sorry for any disappointments with the online Disney Dining
Reservation booking system. It is our expectation that you should be
able to use your resort reservation to book dining reservations. It may
interest you to know some of our Guests have reported a similar issue.
However, we want to assure you your experience has also been reviewed by
various areas of our Online Team.

Please know it is only necessary to link your Resort reservation when
booking dining for up 10 days of your vacation once your date of arrival
is 180 days in advance. Once the dates you wish to book fall within 180
days it is no longer necessary to link your Resort reservation. For
assistance with booking reservation beyond 180 days for up to 10 days
after your arrival, please call 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463).

Thank you again for sharing your experience with us.

Love how they tell me that it might interest me to know I'm not the only one- I told them in my email I knew of issues since October 2011. Still doesn't fix it, or explain why it's now at least 7 months with no fix.

It is super disappointing to me that Disney appears not to have interest in fixing this. I actually called dining reservations 3x today just to tweak things. Which wasted a lot of my time.

I wish they would just address it. It can't be such a technical issue that they need 6 months of development time to address it!
 
I had the same issue this morning, the system did not recognize my reservation # (not DVC). First time I've had this problem. I had to call in and wait about 35 minutes before a CM answered. It took me almost three minutes to get through all of the prompts before being putting on hold. Why does the system ask for the resort reservation # and then the CM asks again?

At least I did get all of my ADR's at the times I wanted.
 
I had that problem on Monday, too. It was frustrating! I ended up calling and I think it worked out better - it was easier for her to search just before my requested time in addition to later. I ended up with all the places I wanted, including Ohana Akurshus and Crystal Palace, and all within 10 minutes of when I requested (most ended up 10 minutes earlier).
 
Yeah.. there seemed to be a problem today. Luckily, I called Disney early this morning and didn't have to wait long for a CM to answer. The CM indicated that other were having the same issues booking past the 180 days even though they had a resort confirmation. I did manage to get all the ADRs I wanted including 'Ohana and an early morning Crystal Palace.

I just noticed you post after I had submitted mine. Looks like we booked the same places. I also made a ressie for Akerhus in addition to 'Ohana and Crystal Palace.

Had the same problem, would not recognize my resort reservation so I could not do my + 10 days...I had to call them in

The CM said many people are having problems with it
 
It seems to be working today! I got all mine except a good Fantasmic package time. It only listed 1:30 for a 7:30 show even at 180+6 days out?? Guess I will try calling at 7 just in case

It's still not working for me. Just for fun, I tried to make a dining ressie within my 10 day window, the system is still not recognizing my resort reservation number.

I hope Disney gets this resolved before the Food & Wine demos and seminars are avaliable for booking on-line. Maybe you don't need your resort reservation to book these, I can't remember from last year.:confused3
 
The website is not even searching for me at all - just sits there. :(
Hope it fixes itself tomorrow.
 
Today's my 180+10 day, and the system is down for "maintenance" (and has been down since last night). Sucks :sad1:
 
It's 180 for me too and my first time making ADRs! Figures it's down...I've only been up since 5:45am!

Hoping it comes online soon. Any idea how long it's usually down for?
