Who do you all love? I went PC world and they say that Kodak Easy Share Gallery is the best.

What about snapfish and shutterfly? I am so confused.

Thank you in advance,

Peg

I use Kodak Gallery quite often, and the results are usually pretty good for snapshot quality prints. Shutterfly also does a nice job, and they have a better selection of photo books and borders for cards than Kodak Gallery (though lately I've been doing card layouts in Photoshop and not using their borders anyway). Shutterfly has had lots of free print offers in the last few weeks. You might do a search for some coupon codes if you want to try them out. I've also tried Clubphoto and Dotphoto (at least I think that's what it was called), and was not at all happy with the print quality, but those were both a couple of years ago, so they might have improved.

I have a Costco down the street from the kids school that gives me the results I need. Upload in the morning and pick them up b4 kids. I always send exactly the file size the print requires so they do no resampling. And I always check the "no adjustments" so they do not adjust ANYTHING.

I was doing similar to Anewman exept I would send mine out to CVS. Currently I just print them at home on one of those Epson Picture Mates. Pics right out of the camera come out better than I had seen with CVS or Kodak and I can even tune it to get even clearer images.

I love using Shutterfly. :cool1:

I have a couple albums that I maintain there, and I've had several sets of prints produced; I've found them to be really very reliable and fairly inexpensive. I like being able to select different "borders" and effects for the pictures, and appreciate being able to adjust and crop the shots on their site, too. (You can even remove redeye!)

Snapfish is more problematic for me, because I use a Mac at home, and many of their products are not Mac-compatible.

I have used Shutterfly for more than 5 years. I just ordered 73 4x6s and it cost me with shipping $15.78. They arrived in a few days and look great.

We got started with Snapfish b/c we had a coupon. This was before we went digital. We used to prepay for developing the film and the prepaid envelopes would come and we would send the film to be developed. Very easy. It's also very easy with the digital photos. You can even order online and pickup the photos at Walgreens. We get our Christmas cards through them. It's tough to pass up a 4x6 snapshot for 12 cents.

I will say that I have not done a comparison with any of the other compaines that have been mentioned. So I can't say that Snapfish is the best.

I have used Snapfish, kodak and shutterfly. I prefer snapfish. Cost is best and I like their quality. I believe my MIL said that consume reports said snapfish was the best overall online photoprocessing company. :confused3

Vanessa, Have you ever sent them 35mm? I have a lot of film that I need developed and put on disc.

Thank You All for you answers, it seems most are pretty good. I have 400 vacation pics :scared: to print out for Two albums and would hate to mess it up.

Thanks Again

I mostly use Shutterfly, and they're good. However, I recently tried Sam's Club (11 cents a print), and they were very good. Frankly, I was surprised. They also use Fuji Crystal Archive paper, which is one of my favs.

Last year I did a little test of several online printing services.

1) SnapFish
2) WalMart (1 Hour/Pickup at local store)
3) Shutterfly
4) Kodak/OFoto- Pickup at local CVS Store
5) Kodak/Ofoto – Mailed
6) Sony Imagestation
7) Eckard Drugs – Pickup at local store
8) PhotoWorks.

I uploaded the same six photos to all the sites and waited to see what I got. Of course each photo was from Disney World. The pictures were taken on my Canon 20D at its highest resolution (3504x2336 pixels)

When we got them all back we did a side by side test of each picture. I put the name each company on the back of the photo. None of us knew where each picture was printed. My DW, DS, and I each picked our favorite for each photo.

When all was said and done SnapFish and ImageStation were the top winners. Their prints were pretty much identical and represented the original photo the best. Based on the price I have pretty much been going with SnapFish since I have close to 300 free prints from their Refer-A-Friend program.

The worse was the WalMart One-Hour prints. Their prints had the matte finish and the colors were very fuzzy/blurred.

Overall I have been very happy with SnapFish and have gotten close to 100 prints from them.
