I won a computer and with it came a "1 - Year pre-paid time card w/ bonus pre-order items" certificate. It's for Age of Conan. I don't play online games, not even Farmville, so I really don't know what I'm doing here.
I let DS have the certificate and we went to ageofconan to manage our account like the certificate says to. We registered, entered the number on the certificate, all that looks good. His user name shows up, shows that he has 360 days of play, the bonus items and it shows a download link.
We clicked it, followed the links, and it does now shows that Age of Conan has been downloaded. I checked that under Control Panel / Programs.
What we can't figure out is how to start the game.
Somewhere in all of the info I read that there should be an icon on the desktop to start the game but we don't have that. In all that it said to enter the code from the back of the CD box too.
Do you think that we also have to buy the disk or something?
He used to play WoW and quit that because of the $$. He's a saver.
So when I won this I thought it would be a good compromise. Instead he's feeling depressed now and I look like a dummy for not being able to figure it out.
Any ideas?
