Hi all.
I was hoping someone could help me out, but I'm not sure how good a job I'll do at explaining my situation. Here goes!
As a Canadian, we are still having trouble accessing the new Disney website which includes 'My Disney Experience'. I have 1 computer at home that accesses ONLY the old website and a laptop at work that accesses the new website. On occasion I have booked dining reservations for friends through MY Disney account. My friends couldn't be bothered opening their own account online to learn how to do it themselves. Anyway, I needed to cancel a couple reservations of theirs but I can no longer access the reservations on the old site. I can book reservations for them on the old site, but I can't bring them up again. In order to access them, I have to go to the new website through my work laptop.
When I try to access them on the new website, I have no choice but to "link" their reservation with my Disney account. The issue is that I am not travelling with my friends, so I don't want my name on the reservation. However, my name is now the primary name associated with these reservations and only I am permitted to cancel them (I don't want to cancel all of them). When I actually go into each reservation, I still see the name of my friend, their email address & phone number.
So after that lengthy explanation, my worry is that all of these reservations are now under MY name instead of THEIR name. Does anyone know what I mean? How can I make sure that the reservations will still be under their names when they check in to the restaurants? I'm thinking that with the new "My Disney Experience", I can no longer make reservations for other people. Thanks for any input or advice!
