Online checkin & pin #'s

I am trying to do online checkin for our upcoming stay and it requires everyone in the room to have a pin#. I am renting a 2 bedroom villa and it's my credit card on file. Does everyone really need a pin #? Surely the kids in the room don't need one? Is there a way to bypass this online or do I need to check in at the desk when I arrive?

I had to do this when I booked a 2 br villa. I went ahead and issued pin#s to everyone. I told them what the pins were and let them decide if they wanted to change it when they checked in. I don't think my son told his kids what the pins were. He didn't want them to charge on their bands. When we checked into the resort my two sisters put their own credit cards down so that mine wouldn't get charged.

Set up their PIN and have them put their own credit card on their account when they arrive. We've done this many times. If you don't want the kids to know the pin, don't tell them
