So I'm stumped.
I have two reservations for a BLT Lake view: one for Feb 27-Mar 4, and the other for Mar 4-7. I had to make separate reservations because I bought 2 resale contracts, and each one had full banked points that needed to be used.
So I called MS a few weeks ago to have the reservations linked, and to add my room requests. At the time, the CM told me that I wouldn't be able to use online check-in with linked reservations, and I didn't think much about it.
But with the new My Disney Experience app and the ability to check-in 60 days ahead of time (presumably to be able to start booking FP+'s eventually), that got me thinking about the disadvantages of not being able to check-in online...
So, the first question, is it correct that I can't use online check-in if I have linked reservations? We won't be arriving until about 11 pm, and I'm concerned that such a late arrival would affect the ability to grant my room requests.
Yesterday, when I logged on to the old DisneyWorld website (I'm in Canada), I actually got the prompt to check-in. Today it's gone (?). In any case, it won't pull up both reservations, just the Mar 4-7 one (but it shows up twice). And I can't find the online check-in link on the new DVC site.
On the My Disney App for iPad, I was able to link the other reservation (Feb 27-Mar 4), but it keeps crashing when I try to add the second reservation. Or when I try to add the guest names (error: information doesn't match guests on file). Or when I try to edit my guest information to match what is on file.... Well, you get the picture
Any insight?
