Although dont want to think about this is there a different area to go to at MCO if you check in online before getting to MCO?

We were going to check in at DTD but why should we pay $20 if we can do the same online and just hand over luggage before the flight.

In the past we have always turned up at the airport but last year was a nightmare as they wanted to put us in the middle of the plane and I need to sit at a window as I have vertigo issues and need to see out when the plane is moving or I am really ill:confused:

We did bag drop for our car seats and its i. The same check in area as you check in

You get the regular economy line, PE/bagdrop & Upper.
We dropped relatives off in August, regular line was long, bagdrop no line.

I used DTD as there was a problem with OLCI and being in PE could go to the front, would not use it again if flying economy, not paying $30 to stand in the heat for a hour when I can do OLCI & bagdrop free.

So it is better to do OLCI and turn up at the airport with cases?

2 main reasons for DTD check in, 1 to get rid of your cases, I have no problem leaving them in the car. 2 they will tell you if there are any delays known of, you can check yourself online.

Others really like DTD check in, I always see about a 1 hour wait, tried early mid AM and late, only time I would use it is flying PE or upper and I can go to the front, bagdrop is far easier for me.

We always use DTD check in, mainly so we can get rid of the cases, get to the airport 2 hrs before and not have to get the cases out of the car
at the airport, just get out the car and go!
When we were at DTD 3 weeks ago there wasn't any queue at all so cases were dealt with straight away! we were in economy
other times we have been when we flew PE the queue has been long, but you get priority over economy.
so what I'm trying to say is DTD is handy to use even though its $10 each unless you booked with VH then its free to use,and its not always busy

We usually splurge which means that we bring back more cases than we go out with. I use the DTD check in to free up some room in the car. I also like getting out of the car with just hand luggage and then walking across the road.

Having used DTD check-in 5 times in Economy, i found arriving around 8:10 got us checked in after around 15 minutes of the desks opening. This allows us to leave MK after the parade and still make an early evening airport departure. Best yet from MK to dropping off car and airside is just under 1 hour.

I think I will do this then as I Have a rather large mickey bag as hand luggage and don't want issues:rotfl2: at the airport
