Online check in....

My online check in is coming up soon. The problem is I don't know exactly when. It used to be that they'd put the date on your reservation. Mine just says what the last day is, rather than the first day.

Will DCL send an email so I'll know when to do my online check in or do I just have to "know" the correct date?

Should I just start signing on at midnight to 'check' if it's available? And where do I go? Currently, the "online check in" selection just takes me to my reservation (probably since I can't sign in yet).

It's midnight EST 30 days prior to your cruise date. Type in "30 days before (your sail date)" online and you'll get that date. It's midnight eastern time at the beginning of that day.

What do we need to complete online check-in? Here's what I've gathered thus far:
  • Passport images/photos
  • ID badge photos
  • Credit card for room charges
I didn't realize the ID badge photos were needed until last night, and I'm glad I figured that out now, because I'm not going to wake everyone at midnight EST to take pictures. Is there anything else that I'm missing???? It's good to know NOW rather than finding out the hard way when everyone else is in bed.

Is the reason to check in at midnight to get an early boarding time or is that also when you can make reservations for kids clubs and things? I’m trying to figure out when I need to be ready to do each thing so I don’t miss anything by being too slow

Yes. It used to be just boarding, but now it's kids club. Everything else should still be reserved at your earlier date (e.g., 90 days for silver if you are PIF).

We just did this recently. If you have a flight, have that info ready to enter as well.

Flights are a couple of days before...and after the cruise, so it SHOULDN'T be important for DCL, but I have it available if necessary...

And I've seen this mentioned on many other web sites and forums, but can't find any Disney Cruise documentation, the PAT doesn't apply to concierge rooms, right? If I'm booked concierge, we can just show up anytime?

I'll still log on to grab kids club times anyway, so I guess I'll grab a PAT if it lets me.

I just checked in last night for the first time as concierge. It skipped the section where you pick a PAT (well, technically it said I didn’t need to pick one) and my port arrival form says boarding group 1 and has the arrival time as 10:30-2:45 (this is for San Diego).

I’m glad this thread popped back up because I need to get it all gathered up for my 30 day check in window

I just checked in the other day, and you don't need a PAT if you're sailing concierge it just gives you boarding group 1, but the kids stuff books up FAST! There were people that waited till the morning to check-in and there were no spots left. If sailing out of PC You can arrive anytime between 10:15am-3:00pm.

I lost track of the days and realized it was time for online check-in while I was stuck at work without our passports. By the time I checked in that evening, we got boarding group 10, with port arrival time at 11:30am. I guess that isn't too bad.

When we cruised in October, you did not need to check in first to be able to book kids club. I reserved kids club at midnight and then did my online check in the next day, because I was on disney bus transfers so PAT didn't matter. Has that changed?

They put the kids club check in after all the uploading pics of passports and stuff, but before PAT, I couldn't get to it without first going through all that. I'm concierge so didn't have to rush to do check in and get a PAT, but wanted to have a few times for my youngest daughter to go to the kids club so I figured while I was there might as well keep going. No clue if they changed anything since this is our first cruise back since the shut down.
