Hi

Quick question what is the benefit of checking in online? We are staying AOA lion king and ideally want ground floor.

Is online check in a way to get this?

Maybe be best to give Disney a quick ring and ask them to note that you would prefer a ground floor room.

We did online check in back in 2014 - it does give you room options, but when we arrived we still seemed to have to go through the full "normal" check-in process anyway, so not sure we will bother doing it again this year.

Personally I don't think it makes a difference to your room assignment. It simply means that your check in will be quicker as all your materials will be ready for you immediately.

Online check in can help with room assignment, we got what we wanted at the Poly on the trip just gone. (Balcony, Top Floor)

Worth noting that unless you booked direct, they can't put notes on your booking for room requests.

You will still need to collect MBs being a UK guest, they don't seem to email room numbers anymore which is annoying if you already have a MB
