Online check in?

When I went onto the Disney site it said I was able to check in online, so I've done it.
Now I'm wondering if it was the best thing to do or not. Will we still of to the main building to pick up our magic bands?

Yes is did this last trip. Not sure it made it any quicker although I went to a shorter line and they had honoured the on line check in request I'd made for a room near the main bus stop.

I'm not sure it will either.
I emailed WDTC and asked them to add room requests to my reservation and they did. When I did online check in though it said I didn't have any requests and it let me add some. So hopefully....!

we did online check in last year and it was far slower then the normal line when we got to the hotel. They stuck a newbie cast member on there and it must have been her first day on her own or something....she was so slooooow!
We didn't get our room request and had to ask her for another room to what was allocated. We ended up with a room right next to an elevator even though we wanted one in a corner nowhere near any stairs or lifts (so much quieter without everybody having to walk/run speak/yelling past your room)...I am def NOT doing online check in this year.
