Online check in

How does it work? Do you just go and pick up your info? Does it tell you your room number? What if you don't like where they have put you? Leaving in 3 days for CSR this is the first time we have had the chance to do on line check in. I remember how nervous I was with the first time we used ME now I love it.

How it usually works is you walk in, and your packet is all ready for you. If you don't like where they have put you, they will have to void that packet and re-do everything. So if you have your heart set on a certain room location, you are better off not using on-line check in.

Honestly, I have found on-line check in works better in theory than in reality. Out of the 3 times I have used it I have been happy with my room location 1 time. And once they had even bumped my from the preferred room that I had booked and had already paid in full for, and told me I had no choice but to take the downgraded room.

We've had great luck with online checkin. Room is usually ready when we arrive and requests met. On those occasions where we have not been happy with the room they only have to redo the keys so its quickly fixed.

You can also call MS and have them add the location you are interested in staying in. Although its not a guarentee that you will get a room in that location. Then walk up to the online checking desk and get your packet. We love online check in. In less than five minutes you are done. In Feb DH parked the car after dropping me at the door and he was walking in as I was walking out after picking up our packet.. He was surprised at how fast it was. Yet there was a length line at the regular check in desk. And at 12:00 p.m our room was ready.

Yesterday, we drove into BWV and were unloading our car when a cast member greeted me by name. She asked me to come inside with her, so I did. She asked me to sit at the carousel couches as she ran to get my room keys, because our room was ready. She came back and handed me my room packet, said welcome home, and we were on our way! AWESOME!

I've done online check in each time except for the last trip. The only reason I didn't do the online last time was because we were a Grand Gathering and had one very special room request for my wheelchair bound father and we had four rooms in total. I regretted that decision when I walked in and saw the entire check in line queue totally filled. Took us a half hour to get to the front of that line so never again.

I don't have any room requests and we usually will arrive before noon so I've always had the room ready when we do the online check in. If you have any problems, it's not like you are not visiting with a human being - there will be a Cast Member checking you in.

To me, doing the online check in is much better than having requests and doing the regular line. I'm not that picky on where my room is located.
