Online Check in

Hi everyone. As of midnight tonight we will be in the single digits until our trip. :banana:

I would like to know how many of you who recently visited used the online check in. How did it go? Was it worth it? We are doing a split stay between BCV, the Wonder, and then AKV so we have quite a trip ahead of us. Thank you for all your input.
 
Many seem to like it. I don't see the benefit other than maybe a shorter line at check-in, and that's a maybe.
 
We tried it for the first time the first week in May (at BCV). As we checked in, and there wasn't a line to begin with, it was a moot point (at this visit). At a more busier time it might have proved to be beneficial.

Our one complaint though, was we had made the online check-in the first day possible (so we kind of expected to get our request; first floor room), almost as a no brainer or so we thought. Well that didn't happen and after about five minutes of not being able to find a room, we just relegated to the fact that we would take the original room assigned.

So in our case, as far as the online check-in went, it just didn't matter. I would certainly try it though (hoping you have better luck than we).
 
We opted to use the online check-in during our March 2009 visit to Pop Century. I must say that I was VERY pleased with the process. I did not realize , since I come from the Northeast, that the week I picked to go was "Spring Break" in the midwest! There was a HUGE line to check in. I had previously checked in online and simply went to that lane. We were the only ones there!:goodvibes Imagine how happy I was that I did not have to wait on a long line AND that my room was ready when we arrived at 10AM!:woohoo:
 

I used it twice recently. The first part of my trip I was at the All Stars Sports and checked in online. Check in was fast and smooth and the room was ready at 11AM.

Then I moved over to the BCV. I checked in online a few days prior and nothing was ready upon arrival. Luckily there was no on else checking in at the time so my check in at the BCV was not too long. I did get my room at 7:30 AM though.
 
We checked in online about 6 days prior to our check in. When we arrived at the VWL, there was no one at the counter for regular check in or for those who did online check in. Not seeing the sign, I went up to the counter and I was directed over. This was around 5pm. They didn't have my "keys" printed yet and the room we received was not a great room. Although, we did only request upper floor.

I didn't see much of a difference in my situation since it may have not been a busy time to check in. But it was during Spring Break in March, so the resort was very busy.
