Online Check In- What if?

So as of now I HAVE NOT done online check in. I did make a small request to my reservation. If I go ahead and do the online check in (and don't contradict my original request) and then find out my room is nothing like what I requested... can I still go to the desk and see if there are any other rooms available before accepting the one assigned? In other words is there any harm in online check in for my scenario or should I just check in at the desk and ask then about another possible room? This is all assuming I do not get my request. Thanks.

Yes you can do online check-in and still go to the desk and request another room if you don't like the one assigned.

I was worried about this too for a long time and many visits. But in July, I put my request in for the Pempe Savanna at Kidani and checked in online in advance. When I showed up at the desk, I got the best room I have ever been in. So, I think they will try to honor the request. They are tricky though. They have to get somebody to take those unpopular rooms. I have been in that boat too.

I checked in online yesterday for my mid October trip. They do ask if you would like early check in to override your room selection request... I did NOT check that box. I would rather wait and get the rooms I like.
