If we check in online, what is the procedure at the terminal? Do we still stand in line to show passports, etc? Does it still take as long?

Yes, you still have to check in at the terminal, but it doesn't take long. Even arriving at a peak time, I've never waited more than about 5 minutes to get to a check in CM. The line moves really fast. Once at a check in window, you turn in your completed health form, have your picture taken, have your passports (or other documentation) scanned, and get your KTTW cards. It only takes a few minutes.

Checking in online expedites a part of the process. You enter your IDs, the credit card info, etc. Unlike Royal Caribbean, you can’t do everything online or on the app. You still need to meet a cast member.

If you are a first-time cruiser, know that they do not really enforce who goes to what line. In fact, they often direct guests to the shortest line whatever your status. If the new-cruisers line is longer, you can usually use the return-cruisers line. In our case, we sometimes use the new-cruisers line when the Platinum/Concierge area is full.

Do you get the health forms there?

On my past cruises, we were handed a health form as we entered the terminal after going through security, usually by the person directing us to a line. The health form typically has just 2 or 3 questions, so it's easy to complete while in line or even while passports/documents are being scanned.
