Online check in request.

I just completed my online check in but noticed there was no request box for Zebra Trail at AKL. This is our first stay there and we'd like to stay close to the main building as we've heard it could be a mighty long walk otherwise. Is there some other way to request this or just cross our fingers and hope for the best when we check in?

Requests are attached to your reservation; you cannot make requests at online check-in. That is for the purpose of indicating a time of arrival and placing a credit card on your account if you wish.

You need to call CRO and attach a request to your original reservation; this can be done anytime between the time you book the reservation until about 3 - 5 days before check-in, when the computer rolls the ressies over to the resort and the room assigner takes over. If there is something you really want, you should call asap.

The CM's will make attempts to give you the first available room and your cards will already be ready at check-in. It may not be what you are looking for, but you can reiterate your request and they will attempt to comply or that week may be too busy at the resort to comply with all requests.

Yep, call CRO and make your reservation request. We loved our Zebra trail room, 5th floor of the pool. It was close to the pool, Mara and the elevator. AKL rooms at the end of the trails can be quite a hike, so if location is important make that your 1st request.

When you check in, ask where your room is. If the location does not work for you ask the CM is there is a room closer.

Be advised that asking for Zebra Trail does not mean that you will be close to the "main building", as there is only ONE building at Jambo House. Zebra Trail is the entire wing of that building, not the front part or the back part... it's the entire wing.

If you want to be close to the lobby, the correct request would be "close to lobby".
