Online Check-In Questions

So my online check-in just opened today and before I do it I have a couple of questions.

1) Can I add more than 1 card for purchases (my card for me and then my mom's card for her)? Last time I was able to do so but that was when we checked in at the front desk.

2) If I do online check-in, are that ME busses that go directly to the park or do I have to go to my resort anyway?

1. I don't think you can do that online, but you can at the front desk.

2. There are no ME busses that go straight to the parks. You have to go to your resort first and then get a bus/boat/monorail from there.

Another question:
I have been trying to do my online check in and when I try to make my room location requestion and click the drop-down menu I don't get any options. Is anyone else having this problem?

This is a problem a lot of people have been having for a while. If you keep trying and it still doesn't work, I suggest calling the Reservations line and have them put down your requests. :flower1:

It's broken.
Though if you want to know my opinion, they turned that portion off because there are a whole lot of folks who don't understand what "request" means. They think it means confirmed to get vs requested to get.

I usually send a request through touringplans anyway, but I always add the same request at online check-in. If it's not working, or they don't want us using it, they should just remove that option.

Actually, there's a pretty long list of things that are incorrect or inaccurate that they should update/change/fix on their website. This is one of many but they seem to break the website every time they go in to make a change so I suspect it's best they just leave it alone. :badpc:
 
I believe when I did my online checkin a few weeks ago I ended up agreeing to the terms and conditions and then when I went back in to "update" the dropdown menu options were there. Hope that helps!

I wouldn't doubt it. A few weeks ago it was probably still working. The drop down hasn't been disabled or broken for long

Yeah, it weirdly let me do mine already (not going until February!!) but no drop down menus until after I “completed” it. I mean, I’m doing the TP fax service anyway, but still.

And yes, if I go to “check details” the drop down is there but nothing is in it.
 
I had the same issue. Did online check in a few weeks ago and made my requests then looked at it a few days ago and it was gone. I called Disney reservations and put in my request. Hope it gets up and running soon!

When I did the check in process the drop downs were there but nothing in them, still that way after the check in was completed. I wonder how many calls they get from people thinking its broken. Whats funny is several weeks before I was supposed to be able to check in the button was active and there were options in the pull down but I didn't complete it at that time just in case something failed as it was well before the 60D window.

Oh, it's not like I won't be looking at my plans between now and then. So at 60 days, I'll just double check that everything still looks to be in place. (And probably again at a month out when I pre-order my BOG breakfast.)

They made a change a while back, you can now check in anytime, not just at 60 days.

I had to ask myself, and I have been very recently. The change to the online check in time may have been done about the same time the online check in room request choices went away. Another reason why I'm not sure it's broken and why I think they have taken them away intentionally. Though I do agree as to why turn them off vs. take them away if that's what they intend.

Yep. I agree. Both about just take them away and about why they may be turned off. I used to work in a hotel reservations department, and we always had to be super clear that a request was a REQUEST and was NOT guaranteed - and if we had someone who was being super insistent, we'd either transfer them to our supervisor OR motion for the supervisor to listen and the supervisor would add an additional note that the guest was being super insistent that they WERE getting whatever the request was and they had been clearly told that it was only a request.

And they'd still fuss when they got there if 100% of their request wasn't met.
