Online check in question

If I check in online, do I even have to go to the front desk? Since I'll have tickets and room key on my magicband, what other reason would I have to go to the front desk. I;m assuming that the FD would text me when the room is ready for occupancy. Could I just go to a park when I arrive, Then straight to my room when it's ready?

If you live in the US, yes. Are you arriving by DME? They will drop you off at resort and from there you can just drop off any carry on luggage you may have with Bell Service and take park bus. If you're driving I wouldn't leave luggage in a broiling hot car in a parking lot. I would go to the resort and if room is ready take it to my room or if not, leave with Bell Service. But that's me. I'd be afraid my face cream would go off in the high heat or my stick deodorant would melt.

There are a lot of times that people do not even get the text, so that may be one reason.

Yes, all of that is possible. There's no need to stop at the front desk unless you really want to. One caveat, while many will get the room ready text and/or e-mail, some do not for unknown reasons. Once your room is ready, it will 'usually' also show up on the app... so you can check there if you don't get a text/e-mail (this is a relatively new feature in the app).

Point being, if it's getting later in the day and you still haven't received a text/e-mail/showing up in the app, don't be too alarmed and you'll need to stop by the desk.
