Online check-in question

Can I do online/early check-in if I have rented DVC points for my room? Also... is this the time/place to request a specific savanna location at AKL, or is there a better way to accomplish this? Would I be more likely to get the location I want if the schedulers know in advance, or can that be handled at the front desk during check-in? Reservation is for a DVC studio for 2 nights. Thanks for your help!

Yes. You can do online check in for DVC reservations. However, do not expect your villa to be ready before 4 PM. That's the earliest time that you can reasonably expect it to have been cleaned and prepared for the next guest.

Room requests should be made through the owner your rented from. They can contact Member Services and have the request noted on your reservation. You're more likely to get your preferred location if you're willing to wait for the right studio instead of asking for the first available one to be given to you at check in.

We did online check in for a DVC rental last year. We requested,online, to be close to the lobby which we we got. The room was not ready until after 4.

You can do early/online check in. We did it when rented points. As others have said, it is less likely the room will be ready early, but we got a text around 2 (while in the airport) that our room was ready and with a room number.

AH... when I said early check in, I meant online check in; I'll change that. We don't arrive at MCO until 2:50pm so I'm not worried about getting a room earlier than the 4pm check in; we should pretty much arrive at AKL when our room should be ready!

I'll contact the owner about location. Hopefully he can add that to the reservation. Thanks for your help!
