You *MIGHT* get a text message or email. There are a good number of us who have never gotten that elusive text or email even when the room was ready. In one case even predating online check-in where everyone had to go to the front desk. Was told my room was not ready yet. She entered my cell (I saw and verified that the number was correct) and said I'd get a text. Off I went to the parks. Much later - as in post-fireworks - I had still not gotten a text, so it was back to the front desk to see if the room was ready. It was, but I didn't want to assume.
And that said, even if you DO get the text or email (or see it on your MDE app - that's happened to me), no one is barring you from going to the front desk anyway.
Stayed at the GF last week and did online check in. Under my preferences they asked what time I was arriving which was 8am. Literally at exactly 8am i got texted message saying room is not ready. Around 1pm I got
a text message with my room number and I went right to the room using my magic band to open the door.
Did online check and since then flight has been cancelled. Rebooked but now we may get to the resort right after midnight. Still trying to get in earlier.
Do I call DVC (booked on points at kidani) or just change the time online/leave it. I'm really just afraid our room will not be there upon arrival for 10 nights.
Thanks for any help. Gotta love that Chi-town snow.
