Online Check-In possibly arriving day early

I did a search but couldn't pinpoint a thread that had this. We are leaving tomorrow afternoon, driving to WDW. There's a possibility that we may try to get there the day before our arrival. We are scheduled to get there on Saturday. If we feel well rested and want to keep driving, we discussed doing so. Will this mess things up at check-in if we decide to do so if I've already done online check-in. I've never done it online before so I don't know the whole process. TIA.

Online check in should really be changed to online preregistration because that is what you are actually doing. You are not really checking in until you arrive. No worries.

So, your reservation begins on Saturday, but you would try to arrive on Friday, and then try to get a room at your resort for Friday night?

If that's the case, the fact that you've done online check-in wouldn't affect anything. I don't know if the Friday night add-on would be considered part of your original reservation, or a separate reservation. Do you have a package (dining and/or tickets) booked?

Getting a one night room only reservation would not change the bulk of your stay.
