Online check in PIN question

I already completed online checkin, but noticed there's a detailed version on the My Disney Experience site.

I went to edit my check in, and noticed under PIN mine is assigned but my DH is able to assign one. I LOVE the fact that he can have his own as it was a pain on our last visit when we had to use the same PIN. But I'm wondering how mine is assigned if I didn't enter one for this trip. Do they keep the one from my last trip assigned to my name?? Or perhaps since I'm the lead guest it's assigned and I need to personalize it at check in?

Im pretty sure its the same from your last trip...I noticed the same with my upcoming reservation too... Because its all linked in MDE its likely the same but you could have the option to modify once you check in at the resort...
