Online check-in - once completed can you still cancel?

One thing I like about a room only reservation is the ability to cancel pretty close to the trip if a family emergency arises. I noticed we can do online check-in at the 60 day mark. We plan to use it this time because we want to go straight to our room with the magic band and not have to go to the front desk because we will get in late in the evening.

Once I do the online check-in, can we still cancel or does that lock you in?

You can still cancel. Unfortunately, I had to do it earlier this year.

I'm not sure that everyone is getting direct-to-room yet. Could be wrong. But just be aware that it's possible you'll need to go to the front desk anyway.

And yes you can cancel.

You can still cancel, although from my experience it often takes away the cancel button online so you have to call instead.

I'm not sure that there is an advantage to checking in 60 days in advance. I don't think that room assignments are done until the day before arrival (or maybe even the day of). I went in May and did online check in just a few days in advance. I'm pregnant and wanted to make sure it would be easy to cancel should I need to for some reason.

I did online check-in at 60 days. I was able to easily cancel online about 6 days before we were due to arrive. It took about 30 seconds. The deposit credit appeared on my credit card account 6 days later.

On my most recent trip I cancelled a reservation at the Beach Club when a better price became available at the Yacht Club. I had already done online check in at the BC and had no issues cancelling it.
