online check in issues & phone battery ideas

I just carry an external battery. They are cheap. But I'm a woman, it isn't like I have usable pockets, so there is always a bag involved.

Update, I was never able to do online check in on the IPad, but I did manage to do so on the app on my phone.
I’m still trying to decide on the phone charging issue, I vaguely knew about external batteries but had no idea that charging phone cases existed, so thanks all for the education

One of the things I like about the battery is that I just carry a couple different cables and it can charge the phone, the kindle, the tablet......I can charge both the phone and the kindle off one full battery. I don't know that a charging phone case would do that. But I'm fairly kindle dependent when I travel.

As I said above, I do carry a charge brick, but prefer the charge case while in the Parks. When I'm in MK, I have nothing else on me requiring a charge other than the phone.

True, we do like our pockets. I just swap out my normal Otterbox case for the charge case before I leave. I never have my phone without a case. We are a construction consulting firm and while I'm not running around jobsites too much anymore, I'm still in the habit of keeping the phone protected.

We like ours as well, but we don't GET them. Not useful ones. For a few brief moments in fashion you get useful pockets, then they disappear only to return with Haley's Comet.

There's always the stylish pocket vest. LOL But I do like my messenger bag/man purse.

So you find the Mophie cases as protective as the Otterboxes? Any other brands in addition to Mophie? I tend to drop my phone often enough that I have to trust the case completely!

Caveat emptor: I am a bit vain ( ) and tend to like using the thinnest Otterbox case they make, the Commuter. Also, I don't like or use screen protectors. The Mophie-style cases are rubberized polycarbonate and do offer drop protection, but it's not on the order of say an Otterbox Defender or a LifeProof Next, with a Mil-Spec rating, and it's not their primary selling point.

I HAVE dropped my phone several times with no damage, while using the charge case. Here's what I'm using now. I actually bought two of them, just to have a backup and because of the price point:

There are many others which likely provide greater protection at higher price-points, but these work for me just fine.
