Online check in HELP!!!

Hi all!!!!!

Its been ages since Ive been on the boards........BUT woooohoooo Im going "Home" tonight!

I am travelling from Dublin to Manchester with Aer lingus and then Virgin from Manchester to Orlando.
I am trying to check in for the Manchester-Orlando leg of the flight with virgin and I reckon im going to pull my hair out........Every time I sign in to virgin to online check in, it brings me back to the manage my booking section.........

I chatted with a rep and they said they cannot help with online check in for security reasons, I get this however, we both have ESTAs I have supplied all passenger information so Im not sure what im doing wrong??? Is there something im missing??
The website looks different to last year, so I think im just missing something small.......
Any help would be appreciated

I am doing something similar in 3 weeks time. Im flying Dublin to Heathrow with Aer Lingus and the Heathrow to LAX with Virgin. I have been doing this trip every year for the last 6 years. I never check in online, I always check in at the airport with Aer Lingus. I get checked in for BOTH flights, and get both boarding cards. My bags are then checked straight through to LAX.

if you're on the same ticket you only need to check in online with the airline operating your first flight. Both flights will be checked in at the same time.

are you on the same ticket ? If so, then only go through Aer Lingus and you should be issued Boarding passes for both flights.

when on the same ticket, you don't check in for each individual flight, only for the first one each way.
