Online Check-In...Help?

Ok...Tommorow is 10 days from our trip...Can any DVC'rs walk me through on how to check in online? Is it at the DVC Site, or WDW Site? Thanks!

It is easy just login DVC Member site and go to view vacations you will see another link to online registration and the rest is easy. They don't have great options for room choices I make the request when I book with MS.

Hey we are at BVC 10-15 maybe we will run into you at the parks.

I could be wrong, but i think i read that if you use online check-in, any requests made previously will be automatically deleted.
Someone may want to confirm this.

I also recall reading this in just the past couple of days; will try to find the thread.

Ok just spoke with MS about this believe his name was Derik.

I asked him about online reqistration removing previous request and he said it does not remove them if you make any selections it is added to existing requests.

He verified our requests were still on our reservation and yes said they are only requests and will do everything they can to grant them.

Guess I will find out in due time.

so are you able to pick your room if you check in online?? ANd once you get to the resort where do you get your room key/papers..ect.

No they only gave me two options one was ground floor or 1st floor other was near transportation. That was it through on online check in.

When I make my reservations with MS by calling I give them my room requests and they note them on the reservation.

I never give a specific room number just an area or view I would like to have but no guarantee I will get it.

They say they have a section that is marked for online check in folks. I have heard that the line is getting longer at the online area then regular check in.

Oh well nothing is ever perfect.

If you get DDP and have to apy at arrival, can you do that at the on line check in desk or do you still need to go to tha main counter to process a credit card.

Don't know but I think they should accommodate you and pay for it when arrive.

They may have fixed things but I can tell you that twice our MS requests were not passed to the resorts. We were told by the SSR Manager that the DVC requests were not being passed to the on-line check in system.

The DDP and room charges will be charged to the CC that you provide during the on-line check-in process.

When you see it, you can do it. Usually 10 days before your scheduled check in.
