I'm on the west coast so its only 9pm for me but I was able to check in online and can say that it was a fairly easy process. From taking the pictures to filling in all the information took 20 minutes. I was surprised they didn't want uploads of the vaccine cards, but I guess they can't ask for that just yet, can they ;)

They let you know immediately what boarding group you're a part of, and it seems like the earliest boarding group option was 1pm, but let's keep those fingers crossed that this cruise will happen!

In the UK Staycations the vaccine card info was being uploaded to a separate company site for them to then verify the information. This may be something Disney are also looking at for the US cruises.

I was able to check-in this morning without trouble. It took about 20 minutes as well. It was interesting that they didn't ask for proof of vaccine. I'll just be happy to be back on board!

I also checked in last night and received a 1:00 PAT. The only thing confusing to me was that your pictures did not show on the website after uploading them. It made me think they weren’t accepted, so I tried uploading them multiple times. I finally realized it said selfie where I uploaded the headshot, so it was there, just not showing.

Checked in using my iPhone. Pics had been taken earlier.

Agree. That was one of the confusing parts, along with asking for "Given Name" instead of "First Name"

I may or may not have entered our names correctly! Really not sure. Hopefully they can look at the passport pic and figure it out!

Perhaps they're waiting to announce something before requiring proof. Most people may not have the ready to upload when they check in.

At least I hope that's the reason.

according to the news releases disney can not do 95% vaccinated guest= this is why they needed to do a test cruise with volunteers. Where other cruise lines can do 95% vaccinated people

It is against Florida law (SB2006) for a business to ask for a vaccine card.

Because the cruise will set sail from FL, FL law prohibits them from requiring proof of vaccine.

Other cruise lines sailing out of FL are making proof of vaccine voluntary. If you don't voluntarily provide proof of vaccine, you will be required to purchase travel insurance, may be excluded from venues on board the ship and will be required to pay for testing. Kids under 12 are exempt from some or all of this depending on cruise line.

Every cruise line currently sailing from Florida is asking for a vaccine record. Florida's law imposes a fine if they deny boarding based on a refusal to provide it, but they can (and do) still impose additional restrictions (like masks, limits on the areas of the ship they can visit, and more) and testing requirements on those who decline to provide it.

Having said that, none of us know what Disney will do.

I was not aware they could not do a 95% vaccinated guest cruise. I didn't see the Disney announcement.

But what about an option to provide the vaccination details but not a requirement?

Just a further edit to my post:

I apologize, I said "require proof" and now I realize that's what you were referring to....so I misspoke. I know they cannot require proof. I meant - ask if people would like to provide proof.

To reach the 95% vaccinated guest level would require them to severely limit the number of children under the age of 12 that are not currently eligible to get the vaccine.

Several cruise lines are going that route. If you don't voluntarily provide proof of vaccine, you are required to purchase a certain level of travel insurance, pay for COVID-19 testing and may be excluded from venues on board the ship. Since children under the age of 12 aren't currently eligible to get the vaccine, some or all of these may not apply depending on cruise line.

But DCL can still add this option in the online check in. That's what I was referring to.

True. But nothing is keeping them from saying, "These are our draconian policies for everyone. And if you would like to opt out of these policies, just show us your proof of vaccination." That is the way other cruise lines are handling it.
