Online check-in "enhancement"

After 6 unsuccessful attempts to do online check-in for our upcoming trip to WDW (we arrive 11/21), I called the number listed on the "we can't process your reservation, please try again or call" message. After the usual sitting through long (and irrelevant) automated "messages" (mostly advertisements) and being told to hang up and call a different number, I got Disney technical support. They told me the online check-in system is down "for enhancement" until November 18.

So...in case anyone else headed to the World for T-giving week was getting as frustrated as I was: apparently it will be impossible to do online check-in until 11/18...

Fingers crossed it will work then (altho I keep telling myself it really won't matter...in person check-in is usually pretty smooth...the only thing I'll really miss by not doing
check-in online is the "extra thrill" that comes when I check in ahead of time!)

So can't wait to get there...we have a one bedroom at SSR for a full week...it's our traditional T-giving to go to Disney, but our first time in a one-bed...SO excited!

I'm sure you are going to enjoy the trip - you will fall in love with the 1 bedrooms. I book the 1 bedrooms now even if it is only DH & me (and it usually is). :)
 
FYI - I did online check in last night and I had no problems. Went through like it always does. Maybe it is fixed. Give it another try. :thumbsup2
 
Glad you got through...I just tried and failed again...

Sigh...

Reminder to myself: it's really no big deal. Online check-in doesn't save much of any time; it only gives me a pre-arrival "thrill"...no big deal...no big deal...no big deal...

Have you tried removing the pre-filled additional 4 digit postal code? That has caused failure for many people.
 
We are also going to SSR for T-giving week and I was just able to check-in online. Very exciting to think we will be there in just 9 short days, and according to the 10-day forecast it looks like it's going to be sunny & in the 80's!!:cool1:

I had the same problem. When I removed the last 4 digits of the zip code, everything proceeded smoothly.
Maybe that's one of the things that the upgrade will fix. Maybe.
