online check in documents

I never did print my documents as I wanted to get everything together the day before I left. My last three weeks have been chaos so I did not want to lose them and just have to reprint them anyway. I knew that the online check in window closed three days before sail date for editing but did not realize I can not even get in to print them. I have heard I don't "really" need them as I can just sign at the port but I could use some reassurance on this.

Don't worry about it. They will print them out for you to sign at check in.

How I know: Like a moron, I packed our check-in signature form in my checked bag when we went on our last cruise.

Having your documents pre-printed will save you about 1-2 minutes maximum at the counter when you check in. Over a large number of guests, that saves DCL lots of time but it won't really impact you. I'm sure there's a pretty reasonable percentage of people who forget, didn't know or packed it. They're quite used to it.

If they don't know what it is, don't let them know you don't recall it - they'll believe whatever you tell them if you can keep a straight face.

I was just reviewing the docs they sent me in the mail. I was thinking about completing everything online and just signing the contract and payment authorization form that's included in my docs (so I don't have to print them.) Is that okay to do?
