Online check in changes

Just FYI: they seemed to make changes to online check in on MDE to many resorts. They added more room request options and you can now change your requests without having to call if you already made initial ones.

@KT0191 Thank you for taking the time to post this. I am amazed at the new options. It's user friendly and the choices seem to be resort specific.
Finally a Disney IT enhancement that really is an improvement.

so happy to see more options although i have a POR RR river view room and the extra options really didn't change my previous choices of corner room and ground floor.
you can choose "mansions area" but i already know i will be in one of them due to the RR.
i wish you could request which one to be in.

Any idea how to see what changes were made/added to the online check-in request section if I haven't done the online check in yet? I'll be doing my online check in soon so if not that's fine.

Awesome! Thanks for posting this. I asked for early check-in and later realized that we would prefer our other requests rather than have a room ready when we got there but was unable to uncheck that box even though it said edit requests. I even called WDW IT as someone had told me they could reset the online check-in, but the person I spoke to said it couldn't be reset and seeing that I made the reservation through a travel agent, I wasn't able to call and have it noted on my booking either. Now I was able to go in and uncheck that box

Will be nice to see screen shots of more resorts in the future. I will be staying at the Beach Club, or even possibly the AKL in February and this is great news.

Thank you for posting this! Somehow it feels like more of a possibility that we might get a king bed at AKL now that I was able to request that option online. What's strange is I had to input our arrival and departure times originally, but now I can't see them or update them. I wonder if that means those times no longer matter (ie; there's no chance our room will be ready by noon)?

Thanks for the screen shots so far. I see ASSports offers a "courtyard view" option. Is that one of the new additions?

The ONE THING I want out of these new selections is the option to request a Courtyard View at Pop Century. Eagerly awaiting a screen shot for POP.

It's interesting that "Connecting Rooms (guaranteed)" is now an option. Do we think they're *really* guaranteed if you choose *that* option as compared to the just plain "connecting rooms" option????? I also find it interesting that Baby Gate is a booking option. First of all, I never even knew they offered baby gates. And second, do you really need to make that a check-in option? Couldn't you just call housekeeping for one when you get there????? I never made "bed rails" a request on my reservation -- I just asked for them at check-in. I would think the baby gates would work the same way and you wouldn't need to allot one of your room requests to that.
