Online check in/ and onboard charge limit (cash)

I'm trying to complete my online checkin. I use my middle name everyday and it is what is on my reservation, where I input the passport info do you think it will be a issue if I don't have my full legal name (the one on my passport) as the main name? For my flights, I used my full legal name as it must always match the passport.

Second question - I chose to pay by cash as I have already exchanged my money from cdn to us $$. I have a $500 charge limit for the 7 day cruise. I know my cabana alone will go over that limit. Can I add a bulk of cash to my account and use it as a debit/charge system to cover my expenses? I don't want to leave a CC as I don't want to have to pay exchange rate again when I have US money on me

The passport section you fill in for the on-line check in does no validation at all. I've even put in gibberish when I was in the process of renewing my passport until I got the new passport. And for actual check in, I don't think it has to match your reservation exactly like it has to for flying.

We have done this with gift cards, so I would assume you could do it with cash.

I would check with Disney. I think your legal name has to be on your cruise reservation as well. A cruise passenger manifest is submitted in advance and is run against the same government lists that the airline lists are checked against -- that's why names have to match your ID. I don't think you can have a reservation in the name of Jane and show up with a passport having the name Mary Jane. Jane Smith and Mary Jane Smith are two different people.

As far as having a cash account, yes you can put more money down on your account once you arrive. They will deduct your onboard charges from that. They will let you know if you reach a point that you have to make another payment or you can periodically check the balance of your onboard account.

Our daughter-in-law kept her maiden name but on our cruise documents she used her married name. The travel agent caught it before we sailed but we had to pay to change DDIL's name on her reservation back to her maiden name so it would match her identification. IIRC it was a $50. charge at the time.

What if your reservation does not include middle names, but the passport does? Just want to make sure we don't have issues.

Middle names are not required. If they are there it's fine but you don't have to go back to add them. First and Last - legal - names are the requirement.
