Hi everyone. Happy New Year!

We want to travel to WDW in August 2013 and hope to split our stay between AKV and BLT. Neither are our home resorts so I am looking to book this month, at 7 month window.

I still have all of my Aug 2012 use year points. I also have my Aug 2013 points coming.

So I need to use to Aug 2012 points first. Must I bank them in order to use to stay during Aug 2013? If so, does this exclude me from booking my trip online?

You need to bank the points first and you can still use on-line booking.

You won't be able to use the Aug 2012 points for booking Aug 2013 reservation until AFTER you book them. It doesn't matter what you have available at booking, it matters for the time the reservation exists. You can't used 2014 points for a trip next month because your 2014 points are available ti borrow until Aug 2013. And you can't use 2012 points for next years UNTIL they are banked. So yes you can do it, but you need to bank the points first.

It doesn't matter what you have available at booking, it matters for the time the reservation exists.

aug 2014 UY pts can be used for a stay in aug 2013. if the OP runs out of banked 2012 UY pts and current 2013 UY pts, they would be able to use borrowed 2014 UY pts to book that aug 2013 stay at the 7 month window.
