Online booking frustrations with only limited rooms released at a time

Does anyone else find it incredibly frustrating and annoying that Disney only shows 8 staterooms (favouring port side) in any particular category online at a time when searching for a room? I wish they would show everything so that I felt like I had a more informed choice. Or at least a button that said "show more rooms" and then it would switch out for more available rooms. I prefer to book on my own and would like to have the freedom to browse as well instead of having to call in to ask. This is also particularly restrictive during opening day bookings.

Does anyone know anyway around this?

I miss the days you could enter in a specific room number so that at least I could check on other sites like Expedia and then go back to Disney's site and book it.

I don't understand - they should be showing everything that is left. Did they change the interface? Are you sure it's not just a mostly sold out cruise?

It would be nice if they showed all rooms that are left, but they don't. It has been this way for at least 6 years. There used to be a box where you could enter a specific stateroom number to check if it was available if the stateroom wasn't one of the ones they highlighted as available. That was removed when they revamped the website a while back.

I find it frustrating, especially if I know the room I want is one of the ones they aren't showing and won't be showing for a while.

Even if they keep showing the "8", at least bring back the ability to search availability and book for a specific room by room number.

Hi All,
I agree! I am also seeing ZERO availability for the Fantasy Summer 2022. Did Disney take these down? Can they all be sold out? I am not optimistic about Oct 19 Magic to Bermuda, and was looking for a backup.
TIA!!

I can see Fantasy cruises for summer 2022. We're contemplating one in August and so I keep checking the staterooms to see if different ones show up but no dice! Sigh. I may have to bite the bullet and call to book stateroom I want.

I can see the Summer 2022 Fantasy cruises, too. There were also a few folks on another thread who couldn’t see the 2021 Bermuda sailings after Oct 9, but they come up for me. I have no explanation.

It could be that those cruises are full for children, or for booking more than 2 passengers per stateroom?

I can see them, even if I enter 4 guests including 2 young children.

@Donna3271, try a different browser or clear your browser cache. See if that helps.
Maggie, yes, I have them now. VERY STRANGE! Last night I only got the Dream, Alaska and European cruises. I had no filters selected to eliminate the Fantasy. THANKS FOR THE TIP! I'll try that if it happens again!

I know what you mean. I prefer the front elevator cabins but closer to elevators. And I like port side except if I’m going to CC.
I have considered putting the first few rooms on hold under a alternate email, and cancel them right away after my search. But just doesn’t feel right, so I won’t.

I would love to hear from anyone “in the know” (like truck1?) does the ship often have to compensate for heavy port side loaded sailings? There is a stabilizer on board right?

So.... DCL HAS CHANGED what staterooms they show !!!

I just checked the price for the May 2022 Alaska cruise we had considered and THEY ARE SHOWING ALL STATEROOMS IN OUR PREFERRED CATEGORY !!

Yep, BOTH SIDES OF THE SHIP. MORE THAN EIGHT !!

Verified a few more sail dates as well.

Below is 9 Fwd deluxe family oceanview w/verandah staterooms on a May 2022 Alaska sailing, and 10 mid deluze family oceanview w/verandah staterooms on a random Sept 2022 Fantasy sailing.

The site now shows how many beds are in each room, too! So helpful for us. I travel with DS and he prefers the pull down bunk to the sofa. Room selection got a whole lot easier!!
