Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

thanks Burberry! I can't seem to bring any ressies my TA did...she did all but the two in this thread...but I think I'll call to be sure all is ok.
I'm part of Red Sox Nation, too..amd watching the game right now. Go Sox!!!

Thanks, I called guest services and although the guy said my # was already on the reservation and there was nothing he could do; when I got off the phone with him and tried again it worked. Now hopefully it will work tomorrow morning! Can you believe I spoke with a dining CM today and she told me that I could make online ADRs @ 3 in the morning??? I called back and spoke to another CM who said they had no clue where she got that info from and confirmed it was 6 a.m.

Recently I've been trying to cancel my ADRs that needed a credit card guarantee in order to book online. Now, when I retrieve these reservations online, there is no "cancel" button. On my other reservations (ones that do not require a credit card guarantee) the "cancel" button is present. Is anyone else having this problem? Seems rather annoying if I have to call in and sit on hold for 20 minutes JUST to cancel a reservation. TIA

You do have to call in to cancel ANY CC ADR. They will give you a transaction # as proof of cancelation.

My CM last week told me they were all talking about it, trying to figure out at what time you could go online. Said they were wondering if you could do it at 12:01am...they had emails out trying to get the answer to this. I told him I was fairly certain, from "reading online", that it's 6am. He thanked me for the info. ;)

I just made my first online reservations - did my first set the old way, via phone. In any case, when the email confirmation arrived, I noticed that it didn't include my confirmation number. Does this agree with others' experience?

If so, this seems like a real flaw in the system, especially since one needs the confirmation numbers to bring them up for review - or for cancellation.

My emails had confirmation numbers. If I were you, I'd call and verify your reservations.

I have seen a few people refer to an email confirmation after making ADR's on-line. I can pull my reservations up on the Disney page, but it's been over a week since I made them and I haven't received an email regarding them. Is everyone getting email confirmation? Should I be concerned? :confused3

I got an email almost instantly... subject line "Walt Disney World(R) Dining Reservation Confirmed" which lists all my ADR info including confirmation numbers.

However, if you can pull up your reservations online with your confirmation numbers, I wouldn't worry. Maybe the email is in your spam folder?

When you make or check an ADR, there is an option to get an e-mail confirmation. It's not automatic, you have to look for the button to request it. I found all the ADRs that I made over the phone and had the whole list e-mailed to me. :thumbsup2

We are taking my MIL & FIL with us and I have their reservation # (we are all on the DP). When I make our reservations (we will all want to eat together at every meal) can I simply make ADRs for the entire party or, since our DP credits are limited to the # on MY reservation, will I have an issue doing that?

Thanks!!

You can make one ADR for all of you under one reservation #. No worries. :)

2 more days for me! :woohoo: :scared:

Interestingly, after calling, the reservations are indeed there, and I can call them up via the "Mv Disney Vacation / Dining Reservations" page. (But they don't come up until I type in the confirmation numbers and retrieve them - they aren't "attached" to my login name, apparently.)

Today was our day 90 mark and I tried to make online ADRs on the DDP for our entire stay of 9/26-10/2. However the only date I was able to access and book an ADR was the first day of our stay, 9/26. I entered our reservation number along with phone number in order to retrieve the booking in order to make ADRs for the remaining days. I received an error message and proceeded to call Tech assistance and was told that I could not book the ADRs for the remaining days because we booked through a Travel Agent. The Travel Agent is the only one who can make these . Needless to say I was not happy about this as with Free Dining there are several variables that go into choosing where to eat...ie..taste , time, etc.. that I don't want to be in the hands of my Travel agent. As we couldn't book online we had to call at 7 this morning (7:05 actually) and were on hold for 65 minutes. No luck getting Teppan Edo, Ohana, Le Cellier. Has anyone else had the same problem and what to do ?

Hi!

Does the new online reservation system automatically cancel ADRs if a resort reservation is cancelled? I am concerned because we have a DVC reservation and a DVC waitlist for our October stay. If the waitlist comes through (possible all the way up until 7 days before the trip), the original ressie gets cancelled and there is a new reservation number. Would this affect my dining ADRs?

TIA!

I booked last Weds for our 10 day trip (09/22/09 to 09/30/2009). And could book all my dinner reservations. I did have to "reterive my reservations" to link it and be able to complete all the reservation which were 90 +10. I'm not a travel agent either. I hope this helps and good luck

I moved this over to the main Online ADR thread that is stickied at the top of the regular Restaurant forum.

The first post here has this in the FAQ, but unfortunately this is a common problem right now. Those using TA's and those who booked DVC do not get the +10 option as of right now.

The GOOD news is that there are many reports that those that got shot down using the +10, DO get what they want when they try again on the exact 90 day mark. (It's not great news for those on the west coast who get up in the middle of the night for this)

It does not affect your dining reservations. :goodvibes

Where do i type in my reservation # so I can get my 10+ days?

Thanks for helping.

Never mind! I searched and searched and found it.

Thanks anyway!

I just tried to pull up my reservation to make sure that it would work, because I can make our 90 + 10 in the morning. It worked last week, although it was with my cell phone number instead of my home phone which is on the resort confirmation that I have.

However, now when I try and pull up the reservation, it says that it cannot be retreived. Has anyone else had any problems with this? I'm kind of freaking out!! I thought I did everything right, checking it last week to make sure that the reservation would pull up...now it doesn't work. I'm feeling frustrated, and i'm worried now that we won't get our reservations!! There are 6 of us so it can get tricky. Sorry for the vent... :goodvibes
