Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

I made a few ADR's this morning, but some were not the best times. Im going to keep looking online and hope for a better time.

If i find a better time, can i cancel or modify my ADR to reflect it, or do i need to call it in?

Also, can you view your existing dining res online at all?

I tried booking online this morning, it sees my reservation and lists it at the top of the page, but it still won't let me book past 9/25. Is there a trick? Am I missing something? When it didn't work I called and booked but I had to take some days and times I didn't prefer so I want to keep trying, but it doesn't work!

You can view all ARD's as long as you have the conf #. Find the "My Disney Vacation link @ the top of the page. Put your cursor on top of it and a menu will pop up. @ the bottom is Dining Reservations; click it.
That brings up a page to input your Conf# and Phone # associated w/ each ADR.
Click retrieve and they will show.

You can cancel any of them unless it is one that is secured by CC, then you must call in.

You cannot modify, but if you call, a CM can do so rather than cancelling. That way your conf # doesn't change.

Got all mine this morning! I did notice that it did unlock the +10, but when searching a span of days, it will only view 5 days at a time, not your entire 10 days (if staying that long like we are). For example, if I searched Le Cellier starting 9/25, I could only look through 9/30, not beyond. To look further, I had to change the spec to be 9/26 or later.

Here's mine:

9/25: Crystal Palace 4:35pm
9/26: Coral Reef 8:30 pm (DH's diving, so we got a late dinner)
9/27: Yak & Yeti (forgot to write the time...5ish)
9/28: Chef Mickey's 6:40pm
9/29: Mama Melrose 6:05pm (no F! available during my stay at all 3 rest.)
9/30: Tutto Italia 5:30pm
10/1: Le Cellier 4:30pm
10/2: 'Ohana 5:25pm
10/3: Teppan Edo 5:30pm
10/4: Departure day

I am pleased. I got 5 days exactly how I wanted and had to play around/shuffle 4 days, but got all I wanted, except F! Pkg.


ETA: we are a party of 4: 2 adults, 1 "disney" adult (10yo) and 1 child

I am glad I did this... I was able to bring all but one up, so for those I went ahead and sent them to my email so I had a printed confirmation of my ADR conf #s, not just my handwritten numbers. One of them kept coming back with an error, so I called and had them look it up, my confirmation # was off by 1 number! I am so glad I figured that out before hand!

Unfortunately, the system has a LOT of glitches!

My first three days I had no problems, then suddenly, it wouldn't let me go past the 90-day mark.
2 days later, it showed my 90+10 days again.

Seems to happen randomly to people for no apparent reason.

Just keep trying back or call each day and have the CM check for new times.

Do you even need the confirmation number when you checkin at the hostess stand? We have done ADR's before, but can't remember.

i am trying to make a dining reservation online and the dates are only going 90 days out. I though if I was staying on-site I could do 90+10. My travel dates are 9/24-10/2. This morning it was only letting me go up to 9/25. Anyone know what I should do???

You CAN start making reservations 90 days from the start of your trip plus 10 if you are a resort guest, but I don't think the online system allows for any designation of that, so you should probably just call. It's just allowing you to do 90 days out as if you're staying just "anywhere".

For Hoop de do Revue and CRT on the dining when we have more then one reservation.

I've read that the system will see that you have the dining plan, but it's unclear to me if I can load different reservations.

We have a grand gathering with 3 rooms, which means three different reservations.

I don't want to make 3 different reservations as I would like to seat together.

Thoughts on this?

We will have a total of 9.

I've seen this many times on the Travel Agent online dining site too. Keep trying. The system is obviously having issues they haven't fixed yet. Sometimes the +10 will show again in an hour or so, other times I can't get into it for a few hours or all day.

This happened to me too. Ended up calling. The good thing was, when it went back up, there was mysteriously more availability for the restaurants I wanted ... may it be the same for you, OP!

Did you check again after 6AM Eastern? That's when the new day loads in. If you're going to get access to +10, that's when you would first notice it...... I made ADR's 5 days last week, and 4 of the 5 days worked perfectly. The other day it wouldn't let me into the +10.....

We made ours by phone and checked them on-line. You do need the correct confirmation numbers, though. We had one wrong and almost panicked when that ADr didn't show up on-line...but we called and they confirmed it by phone for us.
As for having you confirmation # handy when checking at hostess stand... I don't remember being asked for it most of the time but better sfe then sorry. I keep them with me and once at Chef Mickeys they couldn't find my reservation but I had the numbers!
Also, on our last trip at Sci-fi Diner someone tried to claim that they were us when the hostess called our name to be seated - this was after we had already checked and we were just waiting out of the flow of traffic for the table to be ready ( I was shocked when the hostess told me)... but we had the numbers and the other guy couldn't pronounce our name correctly!

I had the same issue as you... and couldn't get it to show up all morning. Just letting you know some of us are in the same boat!

Fortunately, I called and got a pretty good bunch of ADRs... though I have to admit, I didn't have the friendliest of CMs. That's a rarity that I could even have such a thought.

I had just gotten some ADRs for popular places like Le Cellier and Chef Mickey's, and I wanted to get those confirmation numbers before making more ADRs, but she said she'd have to start everything all over again (yeah... inconvenient for her... see what happens to me if the computer crashes and I lose my Le Cellier dinner!) Then she SPED through reading confirmation numbers at the end... and in trying to write them down, I didn't catch the last 4 digits of the first one. She got all frustrated with me and said "you've gotta listen carefully and write all these down." I was trying to! Sheesh! If I managed to get through without more than a few seconds of a wait exactly 90 days before my trip, and I knew to ask for LC & CM first for towards the end of my trip, wouldn't you think she should realize I had a pretty good idea of what I was doing?

Anyhoo... glad to get that off my chest... for anyone else reading this, I have had some of the sweetest people the other dozens of times I've called Disney dining. So, chances are you should get a decent one when you call.

Maybe the one I got just wasn't a morning person... you know, Happy by evening, Grumpy by morning...

I know this is an obvious question, but did you put in your resort information . That is when you get your +10 days.

I just went on line and was able to retrieve my sisters ADR's through 9/21, but it gave me error messages when I tried to pull 9/22 and 9/23 reservations. These were made on the phone. Has anyone been able to see 9/22 and 9/23 ADR's?
