Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

Does anyone know if disney fixed the online ADR's so people with DVC reservations can book the 90+10???

In May I booked a bounce-back offer for December directly with Disney. But after returning home I contacted my Disney specialist TA to transfer the booking to her. Then Disney finally got their on-line ADR working for guests but with the exception for DVC and TA booked guests being able to book the 90 + 10. I've emailed my :worship: terrific TA and she will be on-line for me on the day my booking window opens before the phone lines open. Thank goodness she also lives in the Eastern Time Zone so it wasn't like asking a Mountain Time or Pacific Time TA to get up in the middle of the night for me :scared1:!

I'm sure it's been answered, but like the others, the sheer size of this thread makes my head hurt! I've been through about 45 or so pages randomly, but haven't seen the answer....

When booking dining online, do we go through everything we want and add it all to our cart and then "checkout" at the end? Or, do we do one at a time?

If it is all at once....how long are the ressies "held" until they are released ....in other words...if it takes me 1/2 hour to put them all in my cart, am I risking that there will be some freaky error message that one of my ressies is now unavailable????

thanks for an info there is floating around out there on this one.

You may add everything in your cart and checkout when you have finished, then there is a place to request they email you a copy of your ADR's. It will hold ADR's in the cart for two hrs, as long as your are adding. If there is no activity for 20mins it will time out or ask you if you are finished. So just finish in less than two hr's, and you will be ok.

I finally got in and made my ressies! Woohoo!!!:cool1::cool1:

When it works, it's pretty cool. Hopefully they'll work out the bugs soon and we'll all be happy. :smickey:

I just read some potentially disturbing news in another thread. It seems that concerns expressed here over the new ADR system overbooking (ie. with people suddenly being able to get reservations they couldn't get before, etc) might be with some good cause. Someone who is currently at Disney just posted that two different CM's have commented about dining reservations being "mistakenly extremely overbooked." And that the new system is "extremely flawed." Not good.
I don't have to make my ADR's until the end of July. I hope they get some of the issues fixed by then. I can't imagine the potential mess with the upcoming free dining weeks.

You have to log in with your resort confirmation number so the site knows that you are staying at a disney resort. When you select your resturaunt and it goes to the select your date page. Look abover the date a couple lines for the blue "login" text.

Is there anyway to retrieve online reservations when they aren't linked to my resort reservation and when you don't know the confirmation numbers? I went through and made all my choices but did not print the page. I happened to write one of the confirmation numbers down and thought they would all be linked together but they're not.

Do I have to call Disney Dining now to get the confirmation numbers? :confused3

Can I add dietary restrictions after checking out using online ADRs? I just realized I forgot to do that this morning.:headache:

The dietary restrictions section online isn't yet fully functional. I know, I tried! :) In the end, I called in the early afternoon so it wasn't a horribly busy time and the agent on the phone was more than happy to add them for me. And they've now improved the system for the agents too. They can make one note/comment about them (food allergies in my place) and have it applied to all the reservations. It used to be that they had to open them one by one to each reservation. Good luck!

Does anyone know if my husband and I can be logged in on 2 computers at the same time under our reservation requesting dining reseverations?

Did you book 90 days plus 10 and the system recognized your DVC resort reservation number?

If not then its still not fixed.

It is apparently still not fixed for those that booked through AAA (or any travel agent I would assume).

I can book 90 days out, but I cannot retreive my reservation number to unlike the rest of my stay. I could have slept another hour since I have to wait to call anyway!

Tried to do my ADR on-line on Thursday as it was my 90 day mark and was only able to do the day of arrival - couldn't do the remainder of the trip. Not sure if I was doing something wrong or not so at 10:15pm Atlantic, I called the Disney dining number and got an awesome girl who was able to book the remainder of my dining reservations - exactly the way I wanted them. Whole thing took about 20 minutes. I was very happy.

:)

Oooooh... I am ticked off! I need my sleep too, and just wasted a perfectly good extra hour apparently...

I did everything I was supposed to... researched all I was supposed to do, experimented with the online ADR site to become super familiar with it, and here I am... 6:13am at my 90-day window, with my package reservation number retrieved on the website, and where's my +10?!?!?! Nowhere in sight!!! :headache:

There was some discussion earlier in the week about whether the online ADR system was working to allow people that booked through AAA (or presumably any TA) to unlock the 90+10 feature.

Well, after getting up at 5:00 in the morning to hit the computer, I am happy to report that it is apparently not fixed, because I am still getting "We cannot retreive your reservation. . . ." I can book 90 days out, but it will not pull up my reservation and allow me to book the rest of my stay.

Ok, maybe not so happy to report. Shoot, I could have gotten another hour of sleep since I have to sit around and wait to call now.

I am having trouble right now. I retrieved my reservation and it is showing up correctly but I can not get past my check-in day.

This is so frustrating. I booked through Disney, anyone have any ideas?
HELP

Add me to the list as well.. won't pull up anything but my arrival day.
Grrrr!!!:surfweb:

I checked with my DU agent as to whether or not I should do my ADR's online or get her to do them. She said is was probably better if she did them, as she could do 90 +10. If I did them online (according to her) I would have to log and do them each day.

I am also peeved. The site will not recognize my confirmation number, and our first day we want the fantasmic package. Now I have an hour to come up with new curse-free adjectives to use on the survey on the site....
