Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

I can book the 22nd, but all the other dates are grayed out. I tried using Firefox and Internet Explorer, so it doesn't seem to be a browser thing. It acknowledges my resort ressie, and list the dates I will be there, 9/22-10/2 with a button for disassociating my resort ressie if I want. This really stinks. I thought I had real chance for Le Cellier dinner this year. I've been trying for years, and can only ever get lunch.

I thought I'd add that I tried it on Safari also and the same problem is happening.

I've been using the online system several mornings now, and for the most part it has gone without a hitch.

At one point, I logged on, but when I went to a specific restaurant, it said the booking system was unavailable. Others on the boards were saying they COULD get on, so I completely shut down my computer and started over from scratch. I got what I wanted, no problem.

This morning, I had the same problem. I shut the computer down again. But this time it worked at Chef Mickey, but not 1900 Park Fare. So I tried our other computer and it worked just fine........

Good luck!

Yep, not a browser issue. I joked with my wife, maybe it's because I declined the vacation insurance!:)

Yep, I tried that too, no dice for me. Thanks for the advice though. That's what I love about this board, that everyone is so helpful!:):):)

09/29 @ 6:30p for 4, thanks!

Now I'm having trouble! The LeCel "Make Reservation page" will not load up. We're only there 'til the 25th but I was going to try all of our dates but the thing won't load up! It crashed on me a minute ago - had to close down the browser and load it up again. It worked fine earlier. I have to get ready for work now. Hope everything turns out okay!

I just tried that too. Nothing changed, :headache: oh well, it's Disney's way of telling me to stick with what I have and move on :)

Just tried the on line dining on WDW website and this is what came up on the screen:

Make Your Reservation. We are currently rolling out a *NEW* online dining application to make your reservation process even easier. Please come back and try our new system when it is available. To make a dining reservation at this time, please call (407) 939-7861. Guests under age 18 must have parent or guardian permission to call.

So I wonder how long the system will be down:confused:
I'm trying to make ressie for a trip in 5 wks and really was enjoying doing my other ones online vrs calling:headache:

I tried using it nearly two weeks ago and had issues with the reservation number for my hotel. Neither system is recogonizing DVC. I guess I will be making a phone call for my october resturant ressies, as I don't want to miss out on my birthday breakfast!

So now when I click to 'Book a Reservation' for CRT, I just get this message

"Make Your Reservation

ETA: It says this with every restaurant I try... wth?

That's what I got this morning, and if you call, it's not the dining reservation number, it's tech. support! The poor woman I spoke to said laughingly that they're getting swamped this morning because *someone* put the wrong number there! Correct one is 407-939-3463!

Last week I experimented with the online ADR system (didn't actually make any!) but could find lots of availability for Le Cellier (6pm & 7pm), Chef Mickey (6pm), Crystal Palace Bfast (08:05am), Donalds Safari Bfast (08:15am), etc you know what I mean - the popular ones.

This week I have tried the same - and basically no chance!

I did them booth at sime time (6am), etc...

So do you think its because the word is now spreading, and from now on trying to get an Online ADR wil be as tough as a phone in one?

Presume online still begins at 6am and the phone system 7am right?

Well, ended up having to call this morning @ 7am. I got through with not even a 5 second wait. I ended up with everything I wanted give or take 15 minutes, including Le Cellier and 'Ohana's that I thought I'd never get. All in all it worked out, but so much for me being excited about getting to use the online ADR system.

P.S. The CM I got was great! She really hurried through, so I could get things in my cart quickly. Maybe I wouldn't have got what I wanted if I had gotten someone slow.:confused3

I went on around 8 through AOL, and I couldnt access online reservations, so I went thru IE and it worked fine, got the 4 I wanted at the times I wanted :banana::banana:

I went online to reservations and couldnt check anything but the following came up, does anyone know what this is?

I think the tech problems they're having are more of an issue than acutal booking volume right now. Us DISers read the experiences of other folks on the board, and we know to call dining and check if we're double booked when we get that blank confirmation e-mail, but I think it is very likely that other people booking through the online system just assume the set that didn't generate confirmation numbers didn't go through and rebook (The friend I've helping plan a trip did just that - if I hadn't told her to call when she told me about having to go through the system twice, she'd have had every single one of her ADRs, including Chef Mickey, Akershus, and Ohana, double booked and would simply have been a no-show for one set unless Disney fixed the issue themselves).

When you think about what a relatively small percentage of Disney guests who would even be aware of the problem (because they read here or another similar site) and factor in the folks who wouldn't bother making the effort to cancel the extra set, it becomes pretty obvious that unintentional double bookings are going to be a problem until Disney gets the glitch straightened out.

I just got the same message.
.....oh, please, oh please - be back up and running soon:worship:
I've been "playing" with it (not actually making adrs) for a few days - it didn't take long to be spoiled by it - now I just can't make reservations by PHONE....
