Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

I am not sure.

Is there a post that will walk you step by step thought the ADR online. I am not getting it at all.

Thanks.

I think so, it tells you that after 20 minutes of inactivity, the session will close and you will lose what is in your cart. So I think once it is in your cart, you are good as long as you keep adding. and I think the CM on dining use the same system, cause you don't get your confirmation numbers until you are done, just like doing online myself.

If I remember correctly, when you put an ADR in your cart, you get a message that says that it will be held for you for 20 minutes. If you haven't checked out by that time, it will go back into the pool for others to take. It seemed that as long as it was in your cart, no one else could take it.

I would suggest that you add the most important ADR's to your cart, then check out. Once you have those, then go back and select your not as important ones. That way if there is a computer glitch, you will at least have your important ones. Good luck getting what you want!

Wow :scared1: I can't believe the phone call I've just had with WDW customer service.

I'm eligible to do my ADR's on Saturday June 27th and want to try the online system, so after reading all the posts on this thread, I decided to check what phone number was in the WDW system.

CSR wouldn't check for me :confused3

She said I should just call in instead

I also wanted to upgrade my tickets from 5 to 6 days.
She said.... Do it at the park window when you get here and basically didn't want to help me at all :rolleyes1

Seems like some WDW CM's on the phones need some customer service training!

It cost me a long distance call from Canada and I didn't get anything I wanted accomplished!

OK, Vent over ;)

I agree, get your most important ones in the cart and then checkout to finalize them first. You can then go right back in and get more ADRs. I had something I wanted in my cart and was checking out another option when the system shut down and I lost the ADR. Other than this glitch, I have found the online ADR system easy and efficient to use!

I am not sure, but you might be able to get into the system and get your ADRs well before the regular 7:00 AM phone line. You would have to check this out since I have no idea when the system starts each day. Does anyone know? Can you access and use the system around the clock 24/7?

Yes we do

Mickey is my fave :goodvibes

Donald is my kids fave (and they always complain that there is hardly anything "Donald" in the parks for souvenirs)

Now, back to "tweaking" my itinerary so that I can hopefully get some ADR's on Saturday ;)

My wife and I were finally trying to book some ADR's this evening on the webpage but when we were trying to check for availability, it would always error out and say we must provide the ages of the children in the party. It wasn't giving us a place to put those ages in...so...we basically can't book anything. :( I guess we will have to call the number instead....anyone else have this problem? Or know what we are doing wrong?

When I made some this week, it asked for the number of adults and the number of children in our party. After changing the number of children to 2, new drop down areas opened off to the right asking for the childrens' ages. Then, I put them in.

thats what we thought should happen...but it didn't....maybe the site is messed up right now. Guess we will try again tomorrow. :(

As I posted yesterday, 90+10 was not working on my reservation. I called at 7 and was able to book the 90+10. I logged in today and now 90+10 is working for my reservation. It makes me wonder if it was somehow off a day? I did not check between noon yesterday and 9:00am EDT today, but it was working this morning. There were plenty of dinner openings at Le Cellier and Ohana starting on Sunday Sept 27th through Weds Sept 30th, nothing before that.

I was not able to use the 90+10 on Sat when I made my reservations. I was able to retrieve my reservation, but the +10 days would not come up. I ended up calling and was able to get everything I wanted so I didn't check on Sunday or Monday, but today I am able to book for all 10 days. I did not do anything different than I did on Saturday, but it is working now and it didn't then.

I've had this problem when trying to book on my Mac computer. Sometimes if I hit the refresh button it would fix, or if I went to overview for the restaurant and then clicked back to book reservation. And sometimes I just couldn't get it to work...it's frustrating...

I also had this problem with booking ADR last Friday morning. I had to wait till 7am to call. I just tried it again and no area is popping up to put in ages of children.

OK, great! Thanks for your replies and the great suggestion!

Whats going on!!!! Not working for me. I arrive 09/22, and will be onsite, and after retrieving and associating my resort reservation it still won't give me +10, only 09/22. Arghhhhhhh!

Same here. Just opened a thread on it.

Before 6 I was getting dates thru Oct 1, then when the system began the new day, I only had up to Sep 22, the 90-day mark.

I tried shutting down and starting over, now it won't even retrieve my res!!

I can book the 22nd, but all the other dates are grayed out. I tried using Firefox and Internet Explorer, so it doesn't seem to be a browser thing. It acknowledges my resort ressie, and list the dates I will be there, 9/22-10/2 with a button for disassociating my resort ressie if I want. This really stinks. I thought I had real chance for Le Cellier dinner this year. I've been trying for years, and can only ever get lunch.

Same thing is happening to me!!!
What is going on??? It seems like you and I just have the worst luck!

ETA: I have a WL reservation for 9/22-9/25 and was able to pull up the 90+ days under that number?!?!?!

It worked fine for me? Go figure. :confused3 What day/time are you trying for LeCell? I'll see if I can snag it for you.
