Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

The error message you're seeing is the one that inidcates you've entered a valid reservation #, but that they can't pull it up for some reason. The reason that's been most common is the secondary match (on phone number) is erroring out the system.

Now, when Tech support is looking at your ressie, I wonder which system they're looking in. If they're looking in the CRO system...they're likely right.

Try this: Call Disney Dining, have THEM pull up your ressie, and see what phone number they have attached to it.

When we did it...the field was blank.

I just talked to Disney Dining AGAIN. I got a very helpful CM this time. He saw that my home phone number was indeed on my CRO reservation. When he tried to enter that phone # in the Dining system, it would not accept it. He then tried my cell phone #, and it wouldn't accept that either. He got a hold of a supervisor. They said it is not working because I am not at my 90 days yet (duh, I know this is wrong). He also said that 90+10 was not working on line, and they were trying to correct it (Duh, I know this is wrong as well). Looks like I might be destined to a phone call at 7 am.

Just curious....I am very afraid my computer will freeze up on me and I will miss my ****must have**** dining Adr's! :goodvibes

Well, you get an hour head start, on-line. So unless you think it'll take you an hour to do your ADR's, yourself....on-line is probably your best bet. Even with a freeze up and reboot, I'd bet you're done making your ressies before the phone system even opens.

I just saw the update about booking online .I had made my ressies awhile back(since we go in a week!!) but thought I would try for the dream ressie we never got.Well, I logged online and checked the castle for June 29th at 8am and nothing-then I tried for 8:30 am and GOT IT!!!Paid online and was done in 5 minutes my family will flip! We have never eaten in the castle and the 4 yr old has never been to disney!Yahoo

Bingo....the fact he couldn't get your phone number into the Dining system is, I think, another sign that THAT field is the one causing trouble.

As for the CM's info...you wouldn't believe the stuff my wife was told during her hours of talking through this problem.

1) That's crazy. There is no such system. (about 4 hours after it went live).
2) Your ressie won't work until your 90 day window (proven untrue, both by the fact other people's DID work, and that our ressie didn't work AT our 90 day window, either)
3) The on-line system doesn't do 90+10 (when we've see that it does)
4) The on-line system opens at the same time the phone lines do...7 AM (after seeing, first hand, that wasn't true)

That's just some of it....

The CM's are WOEFULLY misinformed, which I don't think is a surprise to anyone. Disney's internal corporate communication stinks.

Oh I'm so excited that it is working that well. We book are ADR's on Friday and it's so great to know we can do it on our own at our own pace!!!

Has anyone heard anymore about them fixing the issue with those that are DVC or used a TA?

I have 10 more days and would much rather get online and do them then have to call. Especially since some of my ADRs are hard to get locations and some CMs will look for other days and others seem a little less happy to do so.

I thought it worked well too. I was able to switch around a few ressies and cancel the ones we won't be able to make it to really easily. Still can't get a few but at least I can keep trying without having to call and wait and waste minutes!

No fix yet....people are reportedly being told they are aware of the problem and are working on it. How quickly they'll resolve it....who knows.

To make you feel better (maybe), my DW had to CALL on Thursday morning because the issue was not yet taken care of.

We got EVERYTHING we wanted, within 15 minutes of the time we wanted, at some of the toughest tickets: Chef Mickey's, Le Cellier, Princess Breakfast at Epcot, and Ohana's....and for a party of 7.

Hopefully, for awhile anyway, having to use the phone line won't be TOO much of a detriment...and even more hopefully, they'll have it fixed by then.

My 90+10 isn't showing up even with my reservation pulled up. Is this a new development? Or am I the oddball?

Couple of questions. If you trip is more than 10 days, does the 90+10 extend every day -- so, like for today, you can book up to the 26th, tomorrow, will it open to the 27th?

Also, we have our trip booked right now, but we might have to change it if our MIL comes, as we might be staying with her. If I book my dining reservations under this ressie and then my hotel stay gets cancelled -- will my dining reservations stay if they are associated with the one that gets cancelled? I know its not a problem over the phone, but I just want to double check. Thanks everyone!!

(Sort of) Success!!! After speaking with every department I could think to call and trying every home/cell/work phone number we’ve had in the last 12+ years, I had resigned myself to the fact that I was just going to have to call to make my ADRs this weekend.

Well, the last person I spoke with yesterday was a wonderful CM in Guest Services. He, too, played around in the system and on the site and couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t able to retrieve my resort ressie, but he said he would look into it. He called back this morning and said that he actually had trouble sleeping last night because he was thinking about how to fix this for me! This is what he came up with … he cancelled my resort reservation and held the rooms while he rebooked them for us. This gave us a new reservation number, which is able to be retrieved on the dining system!

So while there are still bugs in the system which I hope they resolve quickly for everyone’s sake, I should be able to make 90 + 10 ADRs online. (And even more than that, he restored my faith in Disney Magic after some not-so-pleasant CM interactions yesterday. :goodvibes)

THAT'S creative problem solving! And it should work with any CRO ressie having a problem, I think.

I've heard of a few people having issues today, but it seems to be working for most people.

Did you click the "retrieve my reservation" link over the date select area?

Or are you relying on the "My Disney Vacation" ressie link?

1) Yes. So on 90 days from your second day (the day after you arrive) you can make a ressie for day 11. At least, it works for the phone ADR system...I haven't been able to test, obviously, on the on-line side. Can anyone give it a test run to be sure?

2) Nobody knows exactly what will happen with the on-line system in that event, yet. I don't think anyone's tested it. IF there's a chance of that happening, maybe call in, instead? Or at the very least, call Disney dining after you've made your ADR's and have "adopt" them by adding your other info so they're not just based on ressie info.

Well, I'm using the "retrieve my reservation" link above the booking section. Not the "My Disney Vacation" link.

:(

Are you logged in when you do it?

Try logging out, and then trying it.

If you AREN'T logged in, and you're using that link...then I got nothing. That pretty much goes through all the trouble shooting steps I've seen work....

We would like to do CRT for breakfast, but lunch is acceptable. There is a page for the "Once Upon a Time Breakfast..." and for the "Fairytale Lunch", but there is also a page for just "Cinderellla's Royal Table." Do you think it matters which one I select to make a reservation from? Do you think I'll have a better chance with one of the pages?

You are not the oddball out....same thing is happening to me today, can't get the +10. Still doesn't work, but luckily I was able to get everything via phone this morning, good luck I hope you get everything you are hoping for!
