No Flames, Please! :goodvibes

I have NOT done this, so please don't get upset, it's just a question. In fact, I feel horrible for asking :( I'm going to visit a friend in Orlando in two weeks. I usually make my ADR's online now, normally way in advance. We were going to go to Epcot for the day and were hoping to have dinner at Cape May (in all of my trips I've never eaten there and have seen wonderful reviews on here). Anyway, when I search for a table for two nothing was available, but if I enter it for 3 people, there are. Has anyone ever booked for 3 and then only shown up with two? I would hate to lie, but really want a ressie there. Thanks! :goodvibes

I would book it. When we first made our reservations my mom and stepdad was going with us and backed out later. So most of our early ressies had been for 5 and we showed up with 3. I did call and they said not to worry about it and didnt need to mess with changing the number of people. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the response! I hate to do it and normally never would. I guess it could be worse. I know that we'll show up and they'll make money off of us (probably extra, as I'm sure we'll be enjoying some "adult" beverages ;) ), while I know people who book lots of ADR's that they wind up not using in order to have "options", and then never cancel.

I tried for a couple of weeks to get ressies for WCC and nothing came up (for 2), we were staying at WL. We noticed it wasn't busy at all so we did a walk up and were seated right away. Later we had reservations made by the concierge desk, they booked for 3 and there was plenty of spaces. For some reason we couldn't book for just 2 but the system would let us book for 3. We just told the people at the podium the story and all was well. For some reason the system wouldn't let us book there for only 2 and that may be the case for you as well. Hope this helps.

Yes I have - not intentionally though - all our ressies are for three but last time my teen DD didn't fancy a couple of them and had a CS meal instead and went off to do her own thing for a couple of hours - there were no problems at all - she'll probably do the same again this year if she doesnt fancy the meal (suspect she'll do this at San Angel)

Thats really wierd that they would allow 3 and not 2. Personally, I would figure its a glitch, and just take the reservation. Then maybe call the dining hotline, and explain to them what happened.
