Online ADR is up, for now

Looks interesting. I wonder how functional it will be. It also appears some of the restaurants are not available for booking online; especially some at the Magic Kingdom.

What a surprise! It diverted me to the UK Disney WDW site :headache:

And I really can't be bothered to go through it all and find the right page.

I just booked an ADR on there for Planet Hollywood, and it went through okay....I didn't really like how you have to search for a specific time though, it would be much easier if it would list the available times.

It's going to be really interesting to watch how this goes. We should start a pool, date and time the site crashes.

There is no way to get back to your cart. If you add one and then go searching for something else you can't get back to the check out screen without adding another reservation. At least I can't find it.

I just made an ADR for Chefs for my birthday!!:banana::banana:

Actually, I found it pretty easy to navigate and I liked all the other choices it gave you. We'll have to see if it continues to work this well!!

I just hope they have all the bugs worked out by the time I make my October Dining Reservations on July 17.

It's funny i looked at that exact page a couple of days ago, and it doesnt look any different than it did then except now I know its for bookings! Hmm I make my first ADR tomorrow (alreay got T-Rex by calling them direct). Wonder if the online unlocks at midnight or still at 7am? Also weird that you can only make reservations for certain restaurants and not others. Hopefully anything done online wont get lost!

I had no problems making reservations for 9/2-9/6.

I got everything I wanted: a breakfast at Kona Cafe, a lunch at Chefs de France, and a dinner at Narcoosee's.

Do I trust it? Not sure. Did I make special note of the confirmation numbers? You betcha. Did I try to print the final screen that lists it all? Absolutely - although there's no easy way to do that. (I'm not surprised.)

i called disney dining b/c I'm paranoid and wanted to confirm that the res I made worked, and also that the one I cancelled really did cancel- and confirmed that it worked.

The interesting part was, the CM I spoke with had NO idea that on line ADR access was available to the general public as of today!!!!!!

Thanks for the link
was able to make my ADR's

was even able to get Ohanas which I wasn't when trying to book at the 90 day mark

I made and cancelled a test ADR for August at Artist Point with no issues... BUT

KEVIN WAS RIGHT!!!

I wanted an ADR for 2 at 6pm. It came back and told me my only option was 5:15 or 7:30.

So I changed it to a party of 3 and it came back with 6 pm.

I knew he was right, but this just proves how limited their system is.

AND... now that people can see the availability for other party sizes without having to talk to people on the phone, you can GUARANTEE that people will be gaming the system.

They better find a way to fix this, or there will be even more people making duplicate reservations than there are now.

I was actually impressed with how quick the system was and how easy it was to make and then cancel a reservation.

But I give it a few hours and it'll crash for sure :rotfl:

I just played around with it, and I was surprised at how easy it is. The website seems to be working quickly, too - that was a surprise. I like how it suggests different restaurants if the one you wanted is already fully booked.

WOW! Best discovery of my week! Still have to wait till Monday to make them, but I am ready now! What time does online ADR' start? 7 or earlier?

I was wondering the same thing...how much easier it would be to make ADRs online a few minutes after midnight than on the phone at 7am!!!

I still have to wait another month to make my ressies for October, but I gave it a whirl tonight to see how the system worked and what was available 90 days out right now. I must say...I'M PRETTY IMPRESSED! I know, it'll only be temporary in all likelihood, but...not bad!!!

You do have to pull the "table for 3" trick as Professor Klose has taught us to do, but hey, it works!

One thing I couldn't believe...there were lunch ressies available for CRT 88 days out! During free dining no less!

Hopefully it won't crash too often...:rolleyes1

I used it and was able to book a better time for Dinner at Kona. I cancelled my prevous Kona ADR that I had made by phone as well.

The anal side of me loves that I can finally look up my ADRs online (including ones made over the phone) and see them right in front of my eyes.

I just did a practice run for an ADR at LeCellier for 5pm at exactly 90 days out. The only available time given was 4:05. This was at 7:10 this morning. 10 minutes after opening!!!

This must mean that reservations can be made before 7am. Perhaps reservations can be made as early as 12:01 am. Interesting!!!

I wanted to do a "dry run" and familiarize myself with the process to ensure a smooth transaction when I really need it. I am impressed with how easy it was.
Maybe I'll try it again after midnight too.

So you can actually see the reservations that were made prior to the online reservation system working?

I always right down all of my confirmation numbers and take them with me. I have had several times where they comment that they don't see my reservation, but when I ask them if they want my confirmation number they seem to find the reservation.
