One year ago, my favourite actor passed away.

Heath Ledger was a rising star with such promise. I fell in love with him in 10 Things I Hate About You and never fell out. I'm sad that future generations will never have the opportunity to go see one of his movies on opening night (with the exception being The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, even though that's still our generation). I'm sad that he needed pills to help him sleep in the first place. I'm sad that he's gone.

So, what are your favourite Heath movies? What role would you have loved to see him play?

My favourite Heath movie is Brokeback Mountain followed by A Knight's Tale and then Ned Kelly.

I would have loved to see him play in any role. I would have loved to see the Joker brought back for a sequel.

it's weird that this was the first thing i thought about when i woke up this morning.
i can remember EXACTLY what happened when I found out, I was with my best friend and his dad had texted him to tell him, but we didnt believe it, because they joke around like that alot, then my mom called me to tell me, but we still didn't believe it because we thought that they were in cahoots or something.
but when we went online and found out it was true, we just freaked out.
it came as SUCH a shock!
And it is SO tragic and upsetting that a person with such potential and talent is no longer with us. I know he'll go down in history and always be remembered. RIP Heath (L) we miss you!!!!!

My fave Heath movies are 10 things I hate about you!! (me & my sister have the lines MEMORIZED!!) A knight's tale and I'm not there. (and TDK of course, but that goes without saying)
ETA: Can't believe I forgot LORDS OF DOGTOWN!!! (L)

I honestly didn't know who he was until he died...

But i watched a heath movie marathon...

I really like the 10 things i hate about you

Yeah its pretty upsetting. I just watched Dark Knight yesterday, a but of a coincidence. My favorite movie he was in had to be The Patriot. That movie was just awesome.

I was thinking about that yesterday and this morning when I woke up.

I can't believe it's been a year. He was such a good actor.

I love the scene in 10 Things I Hate About You where he sings "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You"

He was great in The Dark Knight and Brokeback Mountain. I recently watched I'm Not There and he was good in that too.

It's such a tragedy. We'll never know what he could have done and that's one of the saddest things.

I remember clearly the minutes before I heard he died. It was an Oprah show about how to quit smoking. The local news came on and they said that Heath had been found dead. I just gasped and told my mom he just had that baby! :sad1:

I miss him.

I remembered as I browsed through Perez Hilton.
I was watching tv with my dad, waiting for my mum to get home so we could go out for supper (as it is my birthday) and I was like.. jeebus.

I've only seen the Dark Knight, which I love. He's fantastic in it. I plan on seeing some of his other films.

Awe  I loved him.
He was a great actor.

RIP Heath Ledger.

It still makes me so sad that he died. He was one of the best actors of our time and I can't even imagine what he would have done with his talent in other movies.

My favorite movies of his are A Knights Tale, The Patriot, and The Dark Knight. But he did an amazing job in all of his movies!

:sad1:

I was in the hospital getting a blood transfusion. I was on the 3rd floor, which is basically prep rooms for surgery/day stays. I was eating a nasty hospital lunch of chicken nuggets and BBQ sauce with a cherry coke. I was surfing the net and came upon MSN which had a bar across the top, "BREAKING NEWS: Actor Heath Ledger found dead".
I KNEW I knew him from somewhere, I just couldn't remember where. I didn't believe it, so I turned on the TV and changed internet pages.
It was there too. :sad1:
I watched all the news coverage in shock and disbelief.

To top it off, it was revealed Heath had taken Ambien and Ativan as part of his "soup of death". I was PETRIFIED of taking those drugs because I was on them at the time.

My favorite movies are The Dark Knight and A Knight's Tale.
RIP Heath. We miss you.

My favorite movie hands down of all time is 10 things I hate about you. I have the lines memorized, I have watched it probably 100+ times. My favorite Heath specific movie would have either A Knights Tale or The Dark Knight.

I am sad for what he could have brought to future movies, and I am looking forward to his last movie which I think is coming out this summer? I am not sure, but it sounds interesting, even though he did not get to finish filming it.

I also remember the day I found out. I got on to check my email and it was there. I didn't believe it, I honestly thought it was a joke. Then I went on myspace and the entire thing of bullitans was about Heath Ledger. It started to sink in, and I immediatly popped in 10 things I hate about you. I don't know why I was so upset, but it really hurt me that he is gone.

I know what you mean. I didn't know him but felt like I did in a way...I guess through his movies and interviews and pictures. His death really affected me.

awwwwwh
R.I.P Heath

probly one of my favorite movies behind Dark Knight that he starred in!

Heath was an incredible actor and it was so shocking when he died.
It was terrible and I was so upset.

I loved him in 10 Things I Hate About You and the Dark Knight. Basically, anything he was in was good.

I don't think I've ever seen him in a bad movie. The only one people say is pretty horrible is Four Feathers, which I haven't seen.

I know what you mean. Very much so. I was in shock for almost three days. I just couldn't believe it. And then there were all the rumours about cocaine and hard drugs and when it finally all got settled out, I was relieved. I knew that he'd done marijuana at some point, but I was pretty sure he'd gotten away from drugs like that. It was nice to know he stayed true to that. He wasn't a close friend or a relative or even anybody I'd ever met, but I felt like I knew him. I felt like we'd been friends for a long time. And I guess we had. Ever since 10 Things.

Yeah, I haven't seen that either.
Did you see the article in Entertainment Weekly about him this past week?
It was so touching, I almost cried.

Same. I watched 10 Things in English.
He had the ability to slip into just about any character.
That's admirable.
