The totals are going to change...

I cashed out my QR earnings this afternoon (well $70 of them) which are supposed to go to my paypal account. I've never done it this way before, but after all the trouble with the gift cards not arriving last year, this was the only way to go! It will take a couple of days for the cash out request to be approved and then I'm not sure how long it will take for the funds to arrive in my paypal account. I'm going to leave them in there for the time being (in paypal) so a new line in my tally sheet will appear hence!!

I also made a booking!! I'll get to the details in a subsequent post, but it was $670 that came out of our vacation account (and is fully refundable) so I'm going to make that a new line in the tally sheet also.

I am getting close to cash out time for Isay but I want to wait until I have over $50 first. I'm going to let the PC points build again for a while and I'm really going to try and take advantage of cash back on my C51 and Caddle apps.

I'm going to post the new stats to reflect up to the minute standings and then I'll post AGAIN to tell you all about that booking!

SO...

In November or so, I made a couple of reservations for a three night stay in Quebec City. I didn't have to put any money down, but I reserved a few nights in August and then a few in July in case the August dates were a no go. Then the deal for AKL came out and I booked THAT for the August dates. I cancelled that booking about six weeks ago but I didn't get around to cancelling the reservation for August (Quebec City) until about two weeks ago. Since Disney was out, and Europe too expensive I knew Canada travel was what we were going for this year, so I held on to the July one because it was a good deal and the dates looked promising. I did a bit of quick research and figured we'd need a little over $1300 for the that little trip and since we were close to having that amount earned/saved already, I asked DH if he had any interest in continuing east afterwards and spending some time exploring Atlantic Canada.

I looked into what we could do out there and we both got really excited!!

My research is still in it's infancy but a VERY loose budget outline has us needing about $3500 for a 10 night vacation...three nights in Quebec City, a cheap stop to break up the way back home and then six nights spread between New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI. I don't think Newfoundland is going to be possible since the round trip ferry fare is $310 with basic seating and no accommodations and it would strain an already pressed for time 11 day itinerary.

Between what we currently have and what we will set aside out of July's budget...I've got to save/earn $1500 in three months. I don't know if I can do that...but I DO love a challenge!!

LOL That's part of the appeal for me and DD. She's 13 and recently got into L.M. Montgomery and she is powering through my collection (I have everything she published in my library) so she was really geeked when I said that we were going there. I've wanted to go to PEI since I first read the Anne series when I was her age myself so it's been a long time in coming for me!
