HI!
I am new here and thought I would introduce myself to you all. I have been lurking for quite a while, and getting some awesome information.
Well, my fiance and I got engaged on Dec 23, 2005. We wanted to wait until we are out of college (this May) and have been working for a little while before we get married. We are now finally to the one year mark! We have decided to go to Orlando for our 2 week honeymoon (hopefully 2 weeks!). I CAN'T BELIEVE I HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER WHOLE YEAR!!!! That is going to be so hard; I am so excited to go to Disney - I need to stop planning the honeymoon and start planning the actual wedding! We are getting married on Jan 5th 2008, and our honeymoon is going to be Jan 6th-Jan 19. We plan to go to all the WDW parks plus whatever waterpark is open (I believe it will be TL), USO and IoA, Sea World and Discovery Cove, plus add in some free days to do whatever (hopefully go back to wdw parks!). My fiance has never been to any of the parks, and I really haven't been since I was 8. My mom, sister, and myself went a few years ago to SW and DC, and spent a short half day at Magic Kingdom. We didn't get to do much, but it was just enough for me to remember how awesome it is and want to go back sooooooo bad. I can't wait to share this experience with my future husband. He has no idea what he's in for!!!
I am trying to plan this trip for as cheap as I can while still having a wonderful, awesome time on our honeymoon. I have gotten so many great tips so far from all of you and I'm glad you are here to get me through another year of waiting and planning!
Sorry this is so long!

Congratulations, Mike & Amy!

You're going to have a wonderful time on your honeymoon. What great memories you're going to make!

:welcome:

Congratulations on your upcoming marriage. You are very lucky to be able to spend your honeymoon in such a magical place. I hope this will be the first of many for you and your future husband.

We just came back from a trip celebrating our 11th anniversary. WDW can be a very romantic place. We also started planning a year out! You may want to look at the Trip Report Forum. There are some recent honeymoon and anniversary trip reports which are fun to read. There's also the honeymoon forum.

Have fun with it!

And remember my wedding-planning mantra:
No matter how it goes that day, at the end of the day, you will be married. So don't stress too much about it.:thumbsup2

Congratulations!!!

My Husband and I spent our Honeymoon at Disney 11 years ago in October. We still remember the great time we had everytime we pull out the pictures from that trip. You will always treasure those memories!!!

We went to Disneyland for our Honeymoon, while we were there we decided to go to WDW for our 10th anniversary. We have been back to DL 3 times since then. CAn't wait for 2009...LOL You are lucky you only have one year to wait. Congratualtions
:cheer2:
