I just changed my reservations up 2 weeks...we are arriving Nov 13th instead of Nov 27th!

Now we have a premium site instead of full...having never been there before not too sure what the difference is? Are the premium (pet) sites closer to everything?

Hi akacake,

As far as i can tell,

The premium sites has an extra large parking pad, allow pets(some areas), upgraded charcoal grill and upgraded picnic table over the full hook-up sites.

We are arriving at the Fort in 4 days and will be staying though the 19th. We are so looking forward to our first FW stay.:goodvibes

That's also my understanding about "Premium." There's a sticky up top and AllEars has some info on which loops those would be.

I'll also be arriving next week. November 14-20 for my first non-cabin experience at the Fort. SOOOOOO excited! The green ears will be out.

Yup - location doesn't factor into the Premium classification. The only time location factors in is the difference between full hookup and preferred - essentially the same class of site except the 3 preferred loops (100-300) are closest to the marina/Settlement area.

We're arriving 11/13 too - already packed the green ears! :dance3:

We left Quebec on Monday morning and are taking our time driving down. We are South Carolina now and will be in Florida late tomorrow evening or on Friday ( taking Highway 1 instead of the interstates).

If we show up one day early on the Friday instead of the Saturday and we can't get a site one day early is there somewhere to park and sleep while we wait? We don't really want to drive all over the place looking for another campsite/RV park...is there a Walmart or Flying J truck stop nearby? If not then we will have to slow down even more......

Turkey Lake is near Universal. They have an overflow for $15 a night and sites are $18 now if you can get one. Google Bill Fredrick Park and the number will come up. They're very friendly and if you're getting in past a certain hour they will give you the key code.

thank you for the information, I will see if they have a spot if we can't get in early to FW.

we are now in Southern Georgia right on the Florida border...just called FW and they have space for us to arrive one night early...tomorrow! So excited! Only a few hours away!

That's so cool! Have a wonderful time and don't forget to tell us poor folks who are stuck at home all about it when you get home. ;)
